Rolls of hay in the field, photographed from my viewpoint during my bike ride

Here I’ve shared some moments about how I was fired, and since that day I haven’t looked at the job market. I didn’t even update my resume because I had no plans to start working again. But today, a few messages from Telegram caught my attention. They came from my former workplace's channel, where they had forgotten to remove me. Unfortunately, after a few minutes, they realized I was the odd one out, and I was removed from the channel.

I already shared this bridge before, but today I decided to take a walk across it

Here’s a screenshot from my Mi Fitness app showing some activity stats and the route I walked today

Yesterday my work announced a sports challenge, and I decided to give it a try. The main reason is that it already matches my daily activities — walking, bike rides, and swimming — so I thought it would be easy to share mini reports and maybe even win some prizes if I’m lucky. The rules are simple: post a short activity report, collect points, and keep going until May 15. Now my goal is to stay consistent, collect as many points as possible, and hopefully finish the challenge in a good mood.

Fresh photo from today’s walk, taken from my viewpoint up on the hill. Since my workday was pretty short, I decided to head out a bit earlier than usual. It turned out to be a really nice experience and a good opportunity

Yesterday I mentioned our company meeting, and now I want to share some updates from it. Unfortunately, the news turned out to be pretty disappointing. Our financial director told us that the monthly targets were nowhere near complete. The company earned only 70 million rubles instead of the expected 123 million, and April ended up being a very unprofitable month. On top of that, our CEO said salaries will most likely be reduced because the company can’t continue operating under the current conditions, especially with how difficult the economic situation in the country has become.

Photo from my walk—like usual, I try to keep walking after work. I actually took a photo at the same spot back on January 1s

Today was just another regular workday, and honestly, nothing special happened. I woke up, went through my usual morning routine, and the day passed pretty quickly. Even though it was a workday, I felt quite satisfied because everything went smoothly, especially my tasks. Over the past few days, I’ve also noticed that my merge requests have been getting accepted without any fixes. To be honest, that feeling is really pleasant—it gives me more confidence in my work and makes the whole process much more enjoyable.

Kazan Airport under an amazing sunset. I took this photo after landing while walking through the jet bridge

My day was quite busy. It was my last day in Moscow, but I decided not to attend the conference even though it was the final day. Instead, I slept until 9 AM and then started packing my things. The whole routine took around two hours and turned out to be a bit challenging. I had several presents with me, and it was difficult to pack them properly with the rest of my belongings. Because of that, my backpack ended up being overweight. Fortunately, nobody checked the weight at the airport, so everything went smoothly and I had no problems with it.

This is the main area for our company, Infostart. There were many other places too, but I couldn’t upload photos of everything. I think this is the best photo from my collection

My day started at 8 a.m. When I woke up, my first thought was that I had overslept and missed my transfer to the congress center. For a few seconds I felt really stressed. Fortunately, it was just a wrong feeling, and when I realized that everything was fine, I felt huge relief. It felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I really didn’t want to take a taxi because it was expensive, and I didn’t want to spend extra money. Public transport was also not a great option because I would have needed three transfers. It was cheaper than a taxi, but still inconvenient.

I received this bag of memorable gifts today at the conference. It was a pleasant surprise because I didn’t expect to get anything special. Inside the bag there was my badge. The orange rope was for the organizers, and the blue one was for participants. There was also a special notebook, a pen, a circular plate celebrating Infostart’s 20 years, a paper birthday hat, and a special set of tools for cleaning devices. All of these items were packed inside a blue decorated bag

Even though I am currently in Moscow, I began my day with fasting. The fasting schedule here is slightly different from what I am used to. Suhoor was at 04:47 AM, and iftar was at 06:27 PM. Honestly, the different timing did not cause me any inconvenience. I managed to begin and complete my fast quite comfortably. However, I had to skip breakfast at the hotel in the morning and lunch during the conference. Naturally, my colleagues noticed this and asked why I was not eating with them. I took the opportunity to explain the significance of the month of Ramadan for Muslims.

The view from my room is actually not bad. My colleague also sent the view from his room, but unfortunately he only sees a construction site

Today I started my business trip to Moscow, and everything is going well. Yesterday I mentioned that I didn’t really want to go. That feeling was related to my unsuccessful day yesterday, but today everything turned out differently. I woke up feeling calm and surprisingly positive about the trip. The weather was also awesome. The temperature was warm, the sky was clear, and overall it felt like a real spring day. When I arrived in Moscow and left the airport, I noticed that the temperature there was also around +11 degrees.

Another interesting and beautiful photo from my walk, in my opinion. This is our embankment, covered in snow and bright lights, in -24°C cold

During the day, I had two meetings. The first one was our daily meeting and lasted about thirty minutes. The second meeting was with our CEO, and it was the first one this year. It turned out to be quite long — around an hour and a half. Usually, these meetings last about an hour, but today the CEO decided to spend more time discussing work-related issues. Fortunately, during the whole meeting, I mostly just listened. At times, I was literally staring at a frozen screen because Google Meet wasn’t working properly. It was really distracting and annoying. I kept trying to fix it, but without success. As a result, I started feeling tired, skipped lunch, and decided to just keep listening and watching the frozen screen, hoping that nobody would ask me about my tasks.

My day after dental surgery: a surprisingly calm experience

For the next ten days, I have a clear medical routine to follow. During the first five days, I need to take antibiotics as prescribed. In addition, for the entire ten-day period, I must carefully rinse my mouth with chlorhexidine

Today turned out to be a surprisingly calm and comfortable day, and I understand quite clearly why. The main reason was how my morning started. I woke up early, around 7:45, and from the very beginning the day felt fresh and balanced. The area where I had dental surgery didn’t bother me at all, my mood was noticeably lifted, and my overall condition felt positive. I still find it a bit surprising, especially considering that I went to bed at 1 a.m. the night before. Despite that, I managed to start my day early and without difficulty. Because of this good start, I completed my morning routine calmly, without any rush or unnecessary worries, and smoothly transitioned into my workday.

Photo from my work process and my work desc. On photo my laptop, headphones, my favorite cubic Rubik, I assemble it each day ten times. It helps me relax and focus during work

During the last three days, I was stuck on one of my work tasks, and it was very challenging for me. I was quite busy during this time because my main goal was to understand why the bug happened and how to fix it. Despite the difficulties, I was motivated and really wanted to finish the task as soon as possible.

The task was related to email messages. The main issue was that users were unable to reply to emails. What made the problem confusing was that it appeared only in one specific place, while everything worked correctly in other places. During my investigation, I also found an incorrect HTML structure with strange symbols, but only in one email. This made the issue even more unclear.

This is the adapter I use to connect my 3.5 mm EarPods to my phone, but it was damaged near the USB-C connector. I only realized this today, even though I was already thinking about buying new EarPods

Today my day started as usual. I woke up, did my morning routine, and started working. But during the day, I decided to check my old EarPods again. When I connected them to my laptop, everything worked perfectly. However, when I tried to use them with my phone, they didn’t work at all. At that moment, I realized the problem was with my USB-C adapter. My phone doesn’t have a 3.5 mm audio jack, so I use a USB-C adapter to connect my EarPods. The adapter was damaged near the USB-C connector. I noticed it accidentally when I touched that spot. Now I know exactly which part is broken, so I don’t need to buy new EarPods — I only need to replace the adapter.
