The cold weather is continuing, and I had a few stressful situations at work today

During the day, I had two meetings. The first one was our daily meeting and lasted about thirty minutes. The second meeting was with our CEO, and it was the first one this year. It turned out to be quite long — around an hour and a half. Usually, these meetings last about an hour, but today the CEO decided to spend more time discussing work-related issues. Fortunately, during the whole meeting, I mostly just listened. At times, I was literally staring at a frozen screen because Google Meet wasn’t working properly. It was really distracting and annoying. I kept trying to fix it, but without success. As a result, I started feeling tired, skipped lunch, and decided to just keep listening and watching the frozen screen, hoping that nobody would ask me about my tasks.

Another interesting and beautiful photo from my walk, in my opinion. This is our embankment, covered in snow and bright lights, in -24°C cold

After skipping lunch, I started working a bit later than usual. During my work, an unexpected situation happened. After running a script on our production server and seeing that everything had gone wrong, I checked our Telegram channels to see if anyone had already reported server issues, but found nothing. That made me feel a bit more relaxed. Honestly, my first thought was that I had broken the production server. I asked my colleagues to check whether everything was okay, and everyone replied that the server was working fine.

I still couldn’t understand what was happening or why I couldn’t connect. The server only showed error messages like “connection timeout.” After several attempts, I finally realized that my access had been blocked. I turned off my VPN and tried again. Fortunately, everything was fine. I had simply been blocked because my script was sending too many requests per minute, and the system automatically blocked my IP.

The cold weather is continuing, and I had some stressful situations at my work

During the day I had two meetings. The first meeting was around thirty minutes, it was our daily meeting. The second meeting was with our CEO, and it was the first time since this year it happened. But this meeting was a bit long, around 1.5 hours. Usually it continued for about one hour, but today the CEO decided to take more time and discussed about work issues. Fortunately, during the whole meeting, I just listened, and sometimes I just watched the frozen screen. Because the google meet didn't work well enough, it bothered me properly. So I tried to fix it all the time, but it was unsuccessful. As a result, I started feeling tired, I skipped my lunch, and I decided to just continue watching my frozen screen and listen with hope nobody would ask me about my tasks.

After my skipped lunch, I started my work a bit late and during my work process, something crazy situatian happened. I started one script in our prod server, and everything went the wrong way. I started checking our telegram channels, maybe someone already texted about the server. But I couldn't find anything, so I was a bit relaxed. Honestly, first time I thought about it, I broke our prod server. Then I started asking my colleagues, "Can you check the server? Is everything okay?. Everyone responded everything is okay. I still couldn't realize what's going on and why I can't connect to the server. That time the server just showed me system messages about "Error connection, time out", nothing more. After a few times, I finally realized about I was blocked, and so I decided to turn off my VPN and tried to connect to our server. Fortunately, everything was okay, I was just a blocked. Because my script sent so many requests per minute, it decided to block me.

What you did well:
- Your story is clear and logical — I can easily follow what happened.
- You use past tenses correctly most of the time.
- You can describe stressful technical situations, which is not easy.
- Vocabulary level is solid (meetings, CEO, prod server, VPN, requests).

Main problems (important)
1.Too many long, heavy sentences:
- Some sentences are overloaded and feel tiring — just like your day. Native speakers would split them.
2.Unnatural phrasing (Russian-style English)
Examples:
- “discussed about work issues” → “discussed work issues”
- “it bothered me properly” → “it really bothered me”
3. Wrong or awkward word choices
“crazy situation” → sounds childish in work context → Better: “a stressful / unexpected situation”
“I was just a blocked” → grammatically wrong → Correct: “I was just blocked”
4. Repetition:
- “meeting”, “server”, “work” are repeated too often.
This is fine in speech, but writing needs variation.
5. Missing articles (a / the):
This is a classic issue for you and still very noticeable:
- started one script → started a script
