If yesterday I finished my day with rainy and cloudy weather, today was sunny throughout the whole day. The wind was a bit strong, though, which I noticed through the open windows as the curtains swung back and forth, and I could clearly hear the wind blowing and making loud sounds. Of course, it wasn't the best opportunity to go outside because the wind was a bit strong. But since I stayed at home during the day, it didn't really make any difference to me. Only later in the evening, when I went out for my bike ride, did I realize the wind was still strong, which made the ride a bit more challenging.
This morning started with a sunny, clear sky, which I noticed as soon as I got out of bed. At first, it looked like it was going to be a really nice day. But the weather had other plans, and it changed completely later on during my bike ride. I got caught in the rain, and even though it didn't last long or rain very heavily, my clothes still got a bit wet. The only thing I was really worried about was my headphones, since I use them every day during my activities, and I didn't want them to get damaged by the rain.
This day became another memorable one with a trip to Kazan and another unplanned visit to my village. But during my visit to Kazan, the city welcomed me with a huge traffic jam, where I spent about an hour. As a result, I was close to ruining my important plans. In fact, the traffic jam happened because one asshole crashed his car into a streetlight pole, and the pole ended up blocking the entire road. Even getting around the blocked road was a bit challenging, as the right side was just wet and slippery ground, while the left side had a raised tram platform.
The same place as in this post, about a month later
My day was a bit crazy today because I bought flight tickets for more than 2,000 euros. I spent almost the whole day wondering whether I should really spend that much money, especially since I'm still unemployed. It wasn't an easy decision, and I kept asking myself if it was the right thing to do. But after thinking about all the possible risks and the experience I hope to get from this trip, I finally decided to go for it. Now I just hope everything goes as planned and I won't lose the money I paid.
It was a big relief after the very hot days, which had continued for about a week. So my day started with rainy and fresh weather conditions in the morning. In fact, I need to explain something about the rain, as it continued with thunder and lightning for a few hours from around 9 AM. However, later in the day the weather became comfortable enough. The temperature stayed at around 26°C under the warm and pleasant sun, without any more unpredictable weather conditions.
The last few days have been extremely hot, around 33–36 degrees, and according to my dentist's recommendations, I tried to stay at home. But today, at 8 PM, I finally went for a bike ride after such a long break. I really enjoyed being outside after the hot day, riding under the cloudy and windy evening sky. Even though the temperature was still 29 degrees at 8 PM, the fresh breeze made my calm bike ride around familiar places much more enjoyable.
Yesterday, I wanted to share another post about my experience at the horse racing event, but unfortunately, that didn't happen. I had a headache in the evening and missed everything because I fell asleep from 9 PM until 9 AM. I woke up only once, at 2:40 AM, but by then it was already too late to write my post, finish the next chapter of *Goblet of Fire*, and extend my Duolingo streak. So, at that point, I made my bed, undressed, and continued sleeping, even though I didn't have the energy to brush my teeth.
Today, after my trip to Kazan, I went for a ride on my bike along my usual route. But this ride wasn't very successful, as I got caught in the rain twice while riding through the meadow and forest. Luckily, I didn't get completely soaked, but my sneakers and legs got wet, especially in places where the grass was very tall. Still, I couldn't skip my ride today because I had already missed it yesterday. So I decided to give it a try, even though the sky was cloudy and the weather forecast said there could be rain within the next two hours. Of course, they were right, but I still didn't give up and reached my goal of keeping my consistency.
Today I decided to take my next blood test in Kazan at a private clinic before my next dental implant surgery. My family members also decided to go on this trip with me so we could visit our relatives afterward. But something went wrong. When I finished my business at the clinic, we got a message saying they had already gone from the city to their country house. So we changed our plans and drove there instead, as we had some presents for them and couldn't just cancel the visit.
My usual outdoor activities started closer to 5 o'clock, once the weather became sunny and dry. Despite the rain earlier in the day, the ground was still comfortable enough for a bike ride, so I headed out as usual, wearing my damaged New Balance sneakers. I had cut them during one of my previous bike rides while trying to avoid obstacles on a forest trail, but they're still comfortable enough to keep wearing. Other than that, the ride was pretty ordinary. I cycled through forests and along highways, where I noticed horses and a wild rabbit sitting on the forest trail. It didn't get scared of me—it just noticed me, looked around for a moment, and then calmly continued on its way.
The day went quite well, without anything unusual or unexpected. I tried to spend it as productively as I could and complete some of my tasks while staying at home during the cloudy weather. Fortunately, the weather improved during the second part of the day, which gave me another great opportunity to leave my place for a bike ride among the trees on the forest trail.
These days have been a bit cloudy, but without any rain that could bother my outdoor activities. So while the weather gives me the opportunity, I keep working on the goals I've set for myself. Even though it's just 10–15 km across fields, meadows, and forests surrounded by hills, every ride is enjoyable. Not only do my bike rides help me keep my body toned, but they also give me the chance to enjoy nature and take photos along the way. Because of that, I've been especially busy experimenting with photography during my rides over the last few days. This time, I tried taking photos where I included my mountain bike along with parts of my body, like my hands and legs. I think that kind of perspective is interesting and a bit unusual.
