Today was the twenty-third day of Ramadan. It was also my second day in Moscow, where I participated in a conference. I’ve also added several photos from the day
My day started at 8 a.m. When I woke up, my first thought was that I had overslept and missed my transfer to the congress center. For a few seconds I felt really stressed. Fortunately, it was just a wrong feeling, and when I realized that everything was fine, I felt huge relief. It felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I really didn’t want to take a taxi because it was expensive, and I didn’t want to spend extra money. Public transport was also not a great option because I would have needed three transfers. It was cheaper than a taxi, but still inconvenient.
After quickly finishing my morning routine, I went outside. The transfer bus was already waiting for us. But today I was the only one from my colleagues on the bus. I had decided to take the latest transfer at 8:50 because I wanted to sleep a little longer. My colleagues went earlier, although I honestly don’t know why. When I arrived and entered our open-space office, I noticed that one of my colleagues had taken my usual seat in front of the deputy head. I didn’t ask him to move because it’s technically a free seat and anyone can take it.
During the day I mostly did the same things as yesterday. I listened to speakers and worked a bit on my regular tasks. But it wasn’t like a normal workday. It felt more like a lighter version of my usual work process. I could leave the halls, watch speakers, walk around, and nobody asked about my tasks. Still, I tried to finish some work because I couldn’t ignore my responsibilities. I wanted to be at least a little useful, not only listen to speakers but also do something for my job.
Overall, the day was interesting and didn’t bring any unpleasant feelings. I visited several halls and listened to different speakers. I also walked around the conference area where different companies displayed their products. The whole place was decorated with thematic elements related to the conference, which created a special atmosphere. Honestly, it made the event feel more professional and well organized.
The Christmas tree lit up at night in front of Petrovsky Palace. I’ve already shown this place from my hotel room earlier
