The first day of the New Year turned out to be very positive and productive for me. I watched movies, worked on my blog, and also had time to rest
Today is January 1st, so the New Year has officially begun. For me, this day was quite usual, but I still started the year in a productive way. I woke up at 9 a.m., even though I went to bed at 2 a.m. As soon as I got out of bed, I got dressed and went straight to the bathroom. I didn’t want to stay in bed and waste time. I felt energized and had several plans for the day, so I decided to follow my morning routine and start the day properly. When I woke up, I noticed the weather through the window. The sun was shining, and the temperature was around -10 degrees. However, the wind was strong enough to sweep snow across the road. Later, during my evening walk along the embankment, I clearly felt how the cold wind penetrated through the hood of my jacket.
During the day, I watched the second and third parts of Home Alone. I can say only positive things about the first two parts. The third and fourth movies are a bit different because the actors are different, and the overall atmosphere changes. Still, I like these movies and rewatch them every year. Tomorrow, I plan to watch the fourth part and then switch to Harry Potter. I want to watch all the movies in English without subtitles. I believe it won’t be too challenging for me because I’ve watched them many times and remember the main plot well.
I also spent some time working on my blog. I completed many tasks and improved my code. The most important thing I worked on was the compact mode for my posts. On the homepage, I added two new icons on the left side under the “What’s new” section. The first one is called “Card” mode, and the second one is “Compact” mode. The Card mode remained the same, but the Compact mode is completely new. In this mode, I decided to show 32 posts per page and display only the main information. I think this layout is very convenient and comfortable to use. However, it’s not finished yet—I’ve only implemented the core features. I hope to improve it over the next few days.
