During the last three days, I was stuck on one of my work tasks, and it was very challenging for me. I was quite busy during this time because my main goal was to understand why the bug happened and how to fix it. Despite the difficulties, I was motivated and really wanted to finish the task as soon as possible.
The task was related to email messages. The main issue was that users were unable to reply to emails. What made the problem confusing was that it appeared only in one specific place, while everything worked correctly in other places. During my investigation, I also found an incorrect HTML structure with strange symbols, but only in one email. This made the issue even more unclear.
At some point, I couldn’t understand what was really going on. I started to feel stressed and frustrated. I decided to take a short break from work to rest and clear my mind, but it didn’t help much. I lost some motivation and even thought about skipping this task. However, I couldn’t take another one because this was the only task I had at the time.
On the first day, I tried to solve the problem by myself. I tested different ideas and possible solutions, but none of them worked. The next day, during our morning meeting, I explained the situation to my team lead. He suggested several approaches to try. After the meeting, I actively worked on those ideas and hoped they would help me understand the issue better. Unfortunately, they didn’t fully explain the problem, although they helped me close some open questions.
Finally, on the third day, I asked a colleague to help me. He suggested an interesting idea related to an old task we had fixed about a month ago. That old fix affected email messages indirectly. I remembered that task and decided to check it again. At first, I didn’t believe it could be the cause, but after testing, everything started to make sense. In the end, I found a logical explanation for why the issue happened, and I was able to provide a working solution.

Finally, on my third day, I asked my colleague to join and help me. Then he suggested an interesting idea about our old task. Because around a month ago we fixed related place and that place was influense for email messages. Honestly, I remembered about that task and I wanted to check it. But my tests didn't accept the reason why I needed to check our old task. Overall, right now I have a logical explanation about this issue, why it happened, and even I already provided a work decision.
