My day after dental surgery: a surprisingly calm experience

Today turned out to be a surprisingly calm and comfortable day, and I understand quite clearly why. The main reason was how my morning started. I woke up early, around 7:45, and from the very beginning the day felt fresh and balanced. The area where I had dental surgery didn’t bother me at all, my mood was noticeably lifted, and my overall condition felt positive. I still find it a bit surprising, especially considering that I went to bed at 1 a.m. the night before. Despite that, I managed to start my day early and without difficulty. Because of this good start, I completed my morning routine calmly, without any rush or unnecessary worries, and smoothly transitioned into my workday.

For the next ten days, I have a clear medical routine to follow. During the first five days, I need to take antibiotics as prescribed. In addition, for the entire ten-day period, I must carefully rinse my mouth with chlorhexidine

The second reason for my good mood was related to work. Earlier this week, on Monday, I shared my observations about my work process, and at that time I felt slightly sad and quite stressed. In contrast, today’s workday was quiet and steady. My team lead didn’t snap at me, and no one pressured or rushed me throughout the day. I worked through my two tasks at my own pace, which allowed me to stay focused and actually enjoy the process. Honestly, I was genuinely happy to finish the day without a headache, unlike previous days. It felt calm, productive, and emotionally light — something I truly appreciated.

My day after dental surgery and my pretty calm day

My day after dental surgery and my pretty calm day Today I had a pretty calm and comfortable day. Obviously I know why it happened. First, think it's about my waking up. I think it's the main reason, and it made my day. I woke up so early, it was around 7:45. And I had a very comfortable and fresh morning. Because my sugared area didn't bother me, mood was lifted, and the common statement was also positive. I don't even know how it was possible. But yesterday I went to bed at 1 AM. Despite it I started my day early. So I finished my morning routine without any rush or worries and started my workday.

Second reason about my work. Because in this post I shared my observations about my work process on Monday. In that time I was a bit saddened and probably stressed. However, this workday was quiet, and my team lead didn't snap at me. Even nobody rushed me during the whole day. I just did my two tasks at my pace. So I could work on my pleasant and enjoy from my work process. Honestly, I was very happy, that I finished my day without a headache, as I had the previous time.

Title feedback
My day after dental surgery and my pretty calm day
Understandable, but:
- repetitive (day … day)
- slightly awkward rhythm
Better structure would be one idea, one focus.

1. Still confusing word choice
“First, think it's about my waking up.”
Problems:
- “think” → should be I think
- “about my waking up” → unnatural phrasing
This kind of structure is still your weak point.

2. Medical word is still wrong
“my sugared area”
This is incorrect:
- You want “surgery area” or “the area where I had surgery”.
Right now this word breaks understanding.

3. Missing subject in sentence
“Because my sugared area didn't bother me, mood was lifted…”
Problem:
- “mood was lifted” → whose mood?
English needs the subject:
- my mood was lifted

4. Connector problems
“Despite it I started my day early.”
- “Despite” cannot be used like this alone.
- This is a grammar rule issue, not vocabulary.

5. Double negative (still here)
“Even nobody rushed me during the whole day.”
English allows only one negative:
- either nobody rushed me
- or no one rushed me

6. Wrong verb + preposition
“So I could work on my pleasant and enjoy from my work process.”
Problems:
- “work on my pleasant”
- “enjoy from”
This sentence feels translated and unnatural.

7. Ending sentence — good idea, weak form
“as I had the previous time.”
- Understandable, but unnatural phrasing.
- A native speaker wouldn’t say it this way.

What improved the most (important!):
- Your story is coherent
- Your emotions are clear
- Your sentence length is better
- You are thinking in English more, not just translating
That’s real progress.
