Points 6–7, it’s already Black Lake. And if you look at it from above, it should be like an ideal circle

During the last year, I shared so many posts about my life, trips, and other moments from my life every single day. In my opinion, it’s so crazy and unbelievable that I kept going. But the most important thing is that all of these posts are small and real pieces of my life. Each photo and each word, I tried to make unique and take from my real life. Because that’s what makes sense and makes my blog feel much more alive and unique.

I checked out some new locations between points 5 and 6

For the last eight days, I’ve been actively participating in this challenge and sharing my reports every day. However, today the responsible person posted the intermediate results, and my name wasn’t on the list. Honestly, it felt like all my efforts during these eight days were in vain, and this unpleasant situation killed some of my motivation for the challenge. Still, I’ll continue participating, and I’ll keep sharing my reports in the coming days. I also want to see what will happen until May 15 and whether my name eventually appears on the list or not.

Today I felt tired, so I chose a much simpler route without climbs—one that I already knew well and felt comfortable with

I took a much easier route for my bike ride today after yesterday’s little adventure. I wasn’t in the mood to walk the bike in my hands or climb over fallen trees again, so I chose comfort over challenge this time. I just wanted a smooth, enjoyable ride instead of ending up completely exhausted. Of course, I still couldn’t fully escape the randomly scattered trees along the way. And there were still those spider webs hanging between branches waiting for me. But overall, today felt noticeably easier and more relaxed compared to yesterday’s real “forest obstacle course.”

Challenge, day 6. I’ve been trying to figure out why my usual cycling route was suddenly blocked by fallen trees scattered across the path, with no explanation at all

Someone put the fallen tree there and blocked my way. Even going around it was a bit challenging

I forgot to start my workout during the ride, so some kilometers didn’t get recorded

Today I talked with my family about the issue I mentioned yesterday, just to hear their thoughts and figure out who might be responsible for that area so I could contact them or ask some questions. Instead, I was told, “Don’t do it, you’ll only get yourself into trouble with the city administration.” That really surprised me. So now I’m not even supposed to ask why a public route is blocked? It’s honestly frustrating, because that path is important for my bike rides. Now it feels like my only options are either to stop cycling altogether or to switch to busy city streets full of cars and exhaust fumes.

As usual, I also took a screenshot from my Mi Fitness app with my route tracking

It was unbelievably sunny and warm—almost hot while I was biking. Compared to the previous days, I didn’t need any warm layers at all. The only downside was the flies… they were everywhere. They kept landing on my clothes, hands, and legs, and a few big ones even got right onto my face, which felt pretty irritating and slightly painful since my skin is quite sensitive. Another annoying part was the forest route—there were fallen trees blocking the path in several places, and not just right after the storm, but seemingly randomly spread out over a few hundred meters. I honestly don’t understand who left it like that. I might actually have to report it to the responsible services just to find out what’s going on.

Today, for my challenge, I recorded an ideal circular route around my city, and I rode about 10 kilometers in roughly 50 minutes

The day started sunny and ended with a light rain while I was cycling. Honestly, the rain didn’t bother me at all — it actually made the ride feel even better and gave me a chance to properly finish it. I was a bit sweaty, of course, but that only made it more refreshing afterwards. The air smelled especially fresh, almost “tasty” in a way, which added a really nice layer to the whole experience. What made it even better was that everything went smoothly this time, with no incidents like yesterday, so I could just enjoy the ride. By the end I was a little tired, but in a good way — calm, satisfied, and in a genuinely positive mood.

My Mi Fitness app screenshot. Today I completed my longest ride yet — 21 kilometers

Today was absolutely amazing — the sky stayed crystal clear all day, and the temperature was around 16°C, which felt perfectly comfortable and refreshing. So I spent my last weekend fully enjoying nature and everything around it. But the main story is about my bike ride, which unfortunately included a small crash and a few abrasions. Luckily, the accident wasn’t serious, and I didn’t get any major injuries.

The main entrance of Deoksugung Palace, full of tourists waiting to get inside

The day started cloudy and kind of cold. The weather wasn’t great — around 22 degrees, with a cold wind hitting from time to time, which made it feel chillier than it actually was. Still, I didn’t cancel my plans to visit the last spots I had in mind from yesterday. Actually, I did the opposite — I started as early as possible and managed to finish everything before 6 PM.

Later, after dinner and on my way back to my accommodation, I kept walking around the streets of the district where I’d been staying all week. Funny enough, I had only properly stepped onto these streets yesterday. But today felt like the final walk — quiet, calm, just me wandering under the streetlights. There was something about the atmosphere that felt really unique, like one of those moments you know you’ll remember later.

Today I couldn’t find any new photos of my city, so I ended up sharing one from my walk on Sunday. I managed to capture a really nice sunset through the trees near the forest

I got completely stuck on a task and didn’t manage to finish anything. This was already my third full day working on it, and I’m starting to feel a bit unsure about my situation with my team lead. He might ask me, “Where are your results?”, and although I do have some progress, I’m not confident in it. The task itself is quite specific and involves working with a Google API, which makes it more challenging. Honestly, it made me feel a bit down. Just yesterday, our CEO was talking about productivity, and today mine was extremely low. That didn’t make me feel good at all—if anything, it made me stressed and annoyed.

This is my last picture from my weekend walk. The sun can be seen shining through the trees inside the forest. Skiers had already started skiing, and my walking path was completely covered with snow

Yesterday I mentioned the New Year event from my previous workplace. Today I was informed about the exact time it would take place, but unfortunately it turned out to be inconvenient for me. The event is scheduled for December 24, after the working day, so I decided not to participate. However, they also changed the venue. Initially, they planned to hold it in a restaurant, but in the end they rented a house. Honestly, the house would have been more convenient for me. In a house, there are fewer chances of meeting a tamada or a similar host. In addition, while I was working there, I had already participated in events held in rented houses, so I can say that I had positive experiences without any worries.

My next photo is from my walk yesterday. Behind those trees is the place where my city celebrates the Sabantuy holiday every year. And it’s another lovely sunset seen through the trees

Today I was supposed to start rinsing my mouth with chlorhexidine 0.05% because my dentist wrote about it in the prescription. However, when I tried it, I noticed that the operated area started to ache a little. I also noticed that my swelling seemed to increase slightly. I’m not completely sure about this, and I have some doubts — maybe it was just my imagination or it happened spontaneously. So I decided not to use chlorhexidine for a few days to observe the situation. If everything is fine over the next few days, I will try it again. If something happens, I plan to discuss it with my dentist.

In the prescription, the dentist wrote that I should use it three times after meals. The first time I used it after lunch, the second time around 3 PM, and the third time I planned to use it after dinner, which is my last meal of the day. However, I skipped the last time and didn’t use it. Now the operated area doesn’t hurt. Even this morning and during the first part of the day, I felt that the swelling was smaller than yesterday or had even disappeared. I also stopped taking antibiotics — today was the last day.

Photo from my walk today. In this photo, you can see two suns. The first one is on the right side—it’s very bright and it’s the real sun. The second one is on the left side. It also looks like a sun because they have a similar shape, but it’s much dimmer

It was the last day of my weekend, and I spent it as productively as possible. Yesterday I went to bed around 12 a.m., then I woke up at 3 a.m., and in the morning I woke up again at 9 a.m. In total, I slept 9 hours and 30 minutes. It’s my new record here. I don’t remember sleeping that long since I arrived in Russia. Yesterday night I started to feel a headache. I thought it might be because of a fever, but fortunately, in the morning I felt good. During the day, I also felt fine, even though I went for a walk at –15 degrees. Today the temperature was very low, and it felt like –20 to –25 degrees, according to my relatives. However, when I went for a walk, I felt cold, but I can’t say it was extremely cold. It was fresh, walkable winter weather. Even my car engine started without any problems, although the battery is already old and a bit discharged.
