This is my medical certificate from the hospital. It says I have a viral infection. I still find it strange that they use USSR-era abbreviations in official medical documents.

I had no idea this would happen, and I never could have guessed that I'd be sick today. Of course, I never wanted to get sick, but unpleasant things can happen unexpectedly, whether I want them to or not. So my day started at the hospital in the doctor's office, where I took tests for COVID, blood, and feces. But I didn't understand why I needed to take a feces test when I had a fever, a headache, and other signs of illness.

The second part of the Harry Potter book on my work desk

Today the weather was a bit chilly. The temperature during the day was only around 18 degrees, and from time to time the rain made the ground slippery, which made my outdoor activities impossible. So instead, I spent the day at home, finished the second Harry Potter book, and rewatched the movie too. It made me realize that it took me much longer to finish the second book than the previous one, even though it was approximately the same length. The difference was only about thirty pages, but I skipped a few days without reading because I was busy with other routines. Honestly, I had planned to finish it in about eighteen days by reading at least one chapter each day.

I even didn't notice how the week flew so fast. It feels like Monday was just yesterday, but somehow it's already Sunday

A beautiful sky during sunset, smoothly transforming into fog that covered the green fields

It's so strange when you're busy the whole day with your routine and don't need to worry about work, because I was fired. I shared some feelings about it and how it happened in this post. One thing I didn't expect, though, was how differently I would start experiencing time. During the last few days, I started forgetting the days of the week, and I didn't really think much about it. Before, when I had work, I automatically knew what day it was because my schedule naturally kept track of it for me. But today, I realized it's already Sunday, and I didn't even notice how fast the week flew by.

Morning in Tokyo streets at 5 AM. On my way to the metro station

I can already say that I don’t see any reason to come back again—even to another city in Japan. My main goal was to visit all the major places I had planned in Tokyo, and I basically achieved that. The only places I didn’t visit were DisneySea and teamLab Planets. To be honest, I didn’t feel 100% motivated to go there anyway, and another reason was that tickets were completely sold out. If I had the chance to buy them, I probably would have gone.

An AI-generated photo featuring famous world landmarks

I decided to create this fasting timetable so that I always have it at hand and can easily check the times. It might also be interesting to my readers, but most importantly, it is useful for me. I obtained this information from a brochure published by our local mosque. I noticed that the brochure uses Kazan time. Honestly, I am not sure why they use Kazan time instead of my city’s local time. My city is not far from Kazan — it is about an hour and a half away — so the time difference should not be significant. Perhaps it is simply for convenience, similar to how Kazan follows Moscow time.

Left side – my new bike part, right side – my broken bike part

In this post, I wrote about how I broke my bicycle. Yesterday, I received the broken part. I ordered it from AliExpress for $10 because I couldn’t find the same part in local or online shops. The part took 13–14 days to arrive from China. I measured it, and it is 100% identical to the broken one. Soon, I will try to install it on my bicycle and go down that hill again—if the weather is good for cycling.

The IGA Business Lounge — to be honest, this lounge is convenient and beautiful. There are plants everywhere, and all the corners and walls are green

Tomorrow my flight to Kazan will be on an Airbus A330-203, and my seat is 16K by the window. Today, at the last moment, I checked in and got this seat. If I understand correctly, for passengers who don’t buy a seat, the system randomly assigns middle seats first, and only after those are filled does it start assigning other seats.

Tomato soup, vegetables (carrot, cucumber, tomatoes, olives, and salad with Turkish yogurt), white bread, and three types of cakes. For a drink, I chose Sprite. This time, I chose a little less food, without meat

Well, I'm in the business lounge and I'm very surprised because the manager told me I can stay here until my flight. Usually, the stay time is 4 hours, but for me it’s unlimited. When I asked the manager why I could stay so long, he answered, "Because I'm a good man, go and enjoy." It’s all a bit strange. I just hope that when I leave, they don’t ask me to pay an extra fee.

Ali Kuşçu Mosque, near the new Istanbul airport (IST)

In Turkey, the weather is very good — 26 degrees, with a nice cool wind and a sunny sky. The weather is ridiculously comfortable for me, and I don’t want to leave the outside and go inside the airport. As for my plans, I only have one flight to my hometown, from IST to KZN. The flight is on September 3 at around 1 AM. Until then, I’ll be here.

Awesome night views in Singapore — it’s so beautiful! I can’t even remember the last time I saw such amazing views of a city

In Singapore, it’s already 8 PM. The weather is dry but cloudy. I’m already inside the airplane, waiting for boarding to finish. My seat number is 79J — it’s a middle seat. I’m so unhappy because I have to sit here for 8 hours. I don’t like sitting in the middle; I prefer sitting by the window. Well, okay, stop whining. I hope we arrive on time, approximately at 1 AM in Dubai.

For dinner, I had mushroom soup, white and black bread, cakes (chocolate and strawberry), vegetables, a tuna sandwich, and chicken with potatoes in sauce. For my drink, I took lemon juice

I’m in the business lounge—you probably already know what that is. I only have two hours instead of four because my flight is very soon, so I can use just two hours. Well, in two hours I can eat, drink, and write one post for my blog. Maybe I can rest a little bit too.

Today the weather in Singapore was rainy. Everyone was using umbrellas and raincoats. While I’m writing this post, it’s raining

About 30 minutes after leaving my hostel, I entered McDonald’s. I wanted to try McDonald’s in Singapore, and today I hadn’t had breakfast because my hotel only offered a light breakfast and I couldn’t enjoy it. At that moment, I had only about 30 minutes, and the breakfast area was crowded.
