The first part of my day started with a sunny morning around 8 AM. It was a bit unusual because someone was speaking loudly outside and my window was slightly open. Of course, they didn’t interrupt me — I heard them only after I woke up. But it was my fault; I just forgot to close my window properly, and I spent the whole night with it open. However, the room where I slept had fresh air and was a little cold. Even though it was cold, the air felt very fresh and it boosted my mood. Also, today was sunny until lunchtime. But the second part of my day was already cloudy and a bit windy, but without rain.
Yesterday I wrote about the snow, but today everything was wet and dirty. Around midnight, everything started to melt. I realized it when I went to bed and looked through the window. It was around 1 AM, maybe 1:30 AM. At that time, drops started to fall from the roof, and puddles began to appear on the roads. In the morning everything had melted, and all the white blanket had disappeared. Now the weather outside is +9 degrees, but fortunately, it didn’t rain, even though the whole day was cloudy.
Today, while I was working and doing my tasks, someone came to the door. I heard it by the sound of footsteps. Then he tried to pull the door handle and open it, but he couldn’t. After that, he knocked. But it felt a bit unusual and made me anxious, because I thought it could be someone else. Of course, it wasn’t about robbery or bad guys. It was more about the military office staff, police officers, or similar people. Therefore, I came to the door very slowly and carefully. I didn’t want to make any sounds because I didn’t want anyone to know that someone was inside. I tried to keep maximum privacy and accuracy. However, when I looked through the door, it was my uncle. He just decided to visit us because he was driving near our home. Also, I told him to never pull the door handle, because it’s a bit stressful.
My day, as usual, started with my morning routine, and it happened to be my weekend. After that, I made something to eat and started watching my American show. I have been watching it every day for about six months now, and I’ve developed a very useful habit. I don’t even remember a day when I missed it. This habit is really helpful because it allows me to practice my English skills, and it helps me a lot. Also, this morning and day were so sunny. I couldn’t believe that after non-stop rainy days, such a beautiful sunny day could come. It was completely unpredictable — I hadn’t even checked the weather forecast. So I couldn’t resist going for a walk.
This day brought me ridiculously bad weather because the rain fell non-stop all day. The whole sky was covered with dark clouds, and the entire world looked as dark as possible. Because of that, I couldn’t go for a walk, and I spent the first part of my day at home. I couldn’t even do anything useful, because I overslept a bit. When I got up from my bed, it was already around 10 AM. After brushing my teeth and shaving my face, it was almost 11 AM — basically lunchtime. So I just grabbed some cookies with water and went to my laptop to watch my American show.
Today is Friday, November 14, and I woke up just ten minutes before work. As soon as I opened my eyes, I noticed how the sun was shining outside and filling my room with warm light. The sky was also deeply blue, and this combination made me happy and gave me a great mood for the whole day. After I checked my phone, I decided to get up and open the windows because it was an iconic, beautiful day that felt like it was welcoming me. While I was doing my morning routine, my room quickly filled with fresh, cold air. It felt like a powerful opportunity to start my day and finish it successfully.
Today my morning started with snow. I woke up at 8 AM, even though yesterday I fell asleep around 1–2 AM. But when I woke up and looked through the window, I was a bit surprised. Everything was white: the house roofs were covered with snow, the road and green grass were also covered, and the snow hadn’t melted at all. While I looked around, I noticed how under the fresh snow, the green stems of grass didn’t give up and continued their everyday life, even though the snow covered them. However, the road and pedestrian areas had some traces of cars and people walking.
My day started at 5:45 AM. Yeah, today I woke up so early, and it was a bit challenging because I’ve already gotten used to sleeping until eight or nine. Getting up so early felt a bit strange because everywhere was dark, almost like nighttime. Well, after getting up, as usual, I did my morning routine, then dressed in warm clothes and went outside because it was –4°C and my car was waiting for me there. While I was walking to my car, I saw how everything was white — the grass, the tree branches, and each car outside was covered by frost. When I started the engine and cleaned the front windows, I spent around five minutes. During that time, the engine warmed up and was ready to go. I was a bit worried about my car battery because it’s already old, about six years, and I had some doubts if I could start it. My service manager recommended changing it last year, but I didn’t do it. Fortunately, I started it without any problems, drove to the village, left my relatives there, and came back.
The weather was so lovely because the sun had been shining since morning, and the sky was so clear. Today I woke up a bit late — at 9 AM. At that time, I should have started working, but by the time I finished my morning routine, it was already close to my first meeting. Honestly, I was only 2–3 minutes late, and a few colleagues joined after me, so I wasn’t the last to connect. Those who joined earlier were just discussing everyday worries and world news. However, after a few minutes, once everyone was connected, we talked about our tasks and some issues for around fifteen to twenty minutes.
I had some troubles, and this day was a bit uncomfortable overall. The first thing that happened was about my schedule in Google Calendar. When I opened my calendar and started checking it, I saw only one meeting for Monday. After that, I thought, “What’s going on?” and started having some doubts about my work. Then another thing happened during my morning meeting — I managed to connect successfully, but I had problems with my voice and microphone. My colleagues couldn’t hear me clearly because my voice sounded very low and unclear — they could only hear the bass tones. All of that made it difficult for me to discuss my work normally. In the end, I couldn’t talk about my tasks, ask questions, or share my opinions.
This morning was a bit rushed because I woke up at 8 a.m., and everyone was already ready to go. I quickly did my morning routine and had breakfast. By the time I finished eating, it was around 9 o’clock, and everyone was rushing me because, today, there was a cow butchering in the village, and we had to go there.
When we arrived, the main work was already done. The meat was hanging on a tractor’s lifting mechanism. However, it still hadn’t been cut into smaller pieces or separated from the bones. We helped to separate the meat from the bones because the next day it would be sent to a special factory to make sausages and sausage products. The bones would be used later to make aspic and soup.
The weather is crazy— the whole sky is covered with clouds, and the rain has been non-stop all day. Because of that, I stayed at home and worked on my freelance project. It was actually very useful because I was productive and successful. I finished many tasks on my project, although I didn’t complete everything. However, I completed what I planned and promised to my client. I also realized something important about my productivity: when I work on my main job all day and then switch to another task, my productivity drops significantly. I knew this before, but today I experienced it in real life.
