My early morning and trip to the village again

My day started at 5:45 AM. Yeah, today I woke up so early, and it was a bit challenging because I’ve already gotten used to sleeping until eight or nine. Getting up so early felt a bit strange because everywhere was dark, almost like nighttime. Well, after getting up, as usual, I did my morning routine, then dressed in warm clothes and went outside because it was –4°C and my car was waiting for me there. While I was walking to my car, I saw how everything was white — the grass, the tree branches, and each car outside was covered by frost. When I started the engine and cleaned the front windows, I spent around five minutes. During that time, the engine warmed up and was ready to go. I was a bit worried about my car battery because it’s already old, about six years, and I had some doubts if I could start it. My service manager recommended changing it last year, but I didn’t do it. Fortunately, I started it without any problems, drove to the village, left my relatives there, and came back.

This photo I took while I was coming back home. I stopped here to check my tyres because on my car dashboard I saw a warning about a tyre issue. Fortunately, everything was fine. After resetting it, the warning didn’t appear again. I think it happened because it was –4°C outside

After I arrived home, I parked my car near my house and went inside. While I was walking, I saw school boys and girls who were reluctantly walking along the road toward school, probably thinking about something else. I also saw my neighbor — we greeted each other warmly and exchanged a few words. When I entered home, I had a few free hours until my work started, so I decided to spend that time usefully. First, I made my breakfast and watched my usual YouTube show “Good Morning America” while eating. After I finished breakfast, I watched another video from yesterday — a stand-up comedy by Katie Boyle, an Irish comedian — and then started my workday.

My workday was similar to yesterday. I started work at 9 AM and finished at 6 PM. During the day, I had two simple tasks and discussed my previous ones because my team lead had a few questions. Therefore, I explained why I decided to take that approach and talked a bit about the tests. I completed all these tasks successfully and without any problems. During my meetings, everything went well — my VPN and Google Meet worked without any issues.

My evening was a bit interesting because, after work, I went to the village again to drive my relatives back. When I arrived, it was around 6:30 PM, and everyone was relaxing and drinking tea. I just wanted to load the cow meat into my car and go back, but my aunt pulled me into the house. Honestly, I didn’t want to go inside because I didn’t have much time. However, my aunt forced me — and she got what she deserved for that! After thirty minutes, she finally wanted to leave, but I told her, “Thirty minutes ago, you had a very good opportunity to go, but now I have some business here. I can’t go back until I finish it.” I said it on purpose because I didn’t want anyone to force me again! Hopefully next time she’ll be more careful.

Also, if you’re curious why I loaded cow meat into my car, of course I can explain it. Today another cow was slaughtered, so my relatives went there to buy the meat. And about that, I can only say one thing: I don’t like it. Poor, cute cows.
