Yeah, it was my first snow here
Today my morning started with snow. I woke up at 8 AM, even though yesterday I fell asleep around 1–2 AM. But when I woke up and looked through the window, I was a bit surprised. Everything was white: the house roofs were covered with snow, the road and green grass were also covered, and the snow hadn’t melted at all. While I looked around, I noticed how under the fresh snow, the green stems of grass didn’t give up and continued their everyday life, even though the snow covered them. However, the road and pedestrian areas had some traces of cars and people walking.
I spent the whole day at home because the weather wasn’t very good. The temperature was around -1°C when I woke up, but after a few hours it went up to 0–2°C. Now, while I’m writing this post, the outside temperature is 3°C. Plus, something kept falling from the sky all day — probably rain or wet snow. Everything outside was wet, dirty, cold, and uncomfortable. However, even though the weather was wet and a bit warm, the snow stayed on the roads until evening.
During my day, everything was as usual. I just worked, completed my tasks, and even managed to practice my English. That’s all about my day. However, I have some news from the previous days that I forgot to write about. First, about my Duolingo course — I’ve reached the last section, where I need to complete 36 units. I think I can finish my Duolingo course by the New Year. The second thing that happened is about the Schengen visa. A few days ago, I saw that they published new appointments, but I didn’t even try to book one, because I already understand that it’s impossible. But still, some people tried to make an appointment.
