I had a bit of a difficult day today, but I managed to finish it successfully
The first part of my day started with a sunny morning around 8 AM. It was a bit unusual because someone was speaking loudly outside and my window was slightly open. Of course, they didn’t interrupt me — I heard them only after I woke up. But it was my fault; I just forgot to close my window properly, and I spent the whole night with it open. However, the room where I slept had fresh air and was a little cold. Even though it was cold, the air felt very fresh and it boosted my mood. Also, today was sunny until lunchtime. But the second part of my day was already cloudy and a bit windy, but without rain.
Yesterday I mentioned that I wanted to buy USD and euros. So today, after lunch, I went to the bank and bought some dollars and euros. I didn’t even think I could buy them so easily, because in the last few months I couldn’t find any — everywhere they told me, “We don’t have dollars.” Fortunately, today everything was easy, and I was able to buy them on my first try.
About my work: today I had one difficult task where I needed to fix a script for a filter that uses Sphinx. In short, Sphinx is a very powerful search engine or search server. It’s very effective when you need to find something among millions of results. Well, while I was working on it, I felt like I was stuck inside the Sphinx. But I was a bit lucky, and I figured it out before the end of my workday. Now I need to wait and see what my team lead will say about my solution.
My evening was unusual because I started continuing my freelance projects. I took a few days to rest after my big project, but now I have some small fixes, and I can finish them without any worries. The first task is just to change a logo, and the second one is a bit more challenging — I need to fix email sending on the site. I hope I already understand the problems, and I can fix them easily.
