Movies
Good morning, my dear friends! A new work week begins today, and I'm ready for it. What’s new about my day? Yesterday, I watched two movies about drug dealers: the first one was Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and the second was Pineapple Express.
Yesterday, I finished my day with a bike ride around my city after a very busy day, which I mentioned here. Despite ending the previous day with dry weather and a colorful sky, this day was absolutely crazy. It started with a rainy, foggy morning, with the temperature around 10 degrees. On top of that, it rained non-stop throughout the entire day under gray clouds, which made the day feel more like an autumn day in the middle of summer.
Today the weather was a bit chilly. The temperature during the day was only around 18 degrees, and from time to time the rain made the ground slippery, which made my outdoor activities impossible. So instead, I spent the day at home, finished the second Harry Potter book, and rewatched the movie too. It made me realize that it took me much longer to finish the second book than the previous one, even though it was approximately the same length. The difference was only about thirty pages, but I skipped a few days without reading because I was busy with other routines. Honestly, I had planned to finish it in about eighteen days by reading at least one chapter each day.
Last month, I actively started reading the first Harry Potter book, “Philosopher’s Stone.” Every day during lunch, and sometimes at night, I read one chapter. Now I can say that I’ve basically finished it — I only have the last two chapters left. So I hope to finish this part tomorrow and begin the second one, “Chamber of Secrets.” Naturally, this book wasn’t very big, only 332 pages and 17 chapters, and I spent about twenty days reading it. Probably, I could’ve finished it a bit earlier if I hadn’t skipped some days. However, I still have some doubts about whether I can finish the remaining six books by the end of this year. Because those books are much bigger — for example, part 5, “Order of the Phoenix,” has around 800 pages, while the others are smaller, with about 400, 500, or 600 pages each.
I finished watching the Harry Potter movies and then started watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The Harry Potter movies were very enjoyable. I started watching them on January 1st and watched one movie every day. Even though I had rewatched them many times before, they were still very interesting. Watching them during the New Year holidays gives me a stronger New Year feeling.
I’ve noticed that every year I have a habit of rewatching New Year movies. Home Alone, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and even the animated movie The Polar Express. I clearly remember watching them last year, and I even remember rewatching them in 2024. That time, I watched them with subtitles, probably in Russian. Overall, I realized that rewatching New Year movies during the holidays has become a tradition for me.
Good evening, friends and subscribers. In Da Nang, it’s already 22:30 PM on Saturday. This weekend I am free — I don’t have any freelance work. So, since I’m free, I decided to write another post about my evening. If I remember correctly, I have written about my evening a few times before. So this post will be the next one, and it will be a little political and quite long. I hope someone will read it.
Today for dinner I ordered chicken kebab with rice and salad — total cost: 159 baht. I also started watching a New Year movie called Violent Night. I think this is a good time for this movie because it’s 34 degrees outside and New Year’s Eve is coming soon.
It's been raining all day today, so for the first time in Thailand, I turned off my air conditioner. I also wanted to visit the swimming pool, but the weather was bad. I felt cold because the wind was strong. Only in the evening did the weather get better.
It's been a long time since I wrote about my food. Today I ordered fried rice and roti with egg, and the total cost was 159 baht. I ordered it from a café called "Muslim Food", which has a 4.5 rating and over 2,000 reviews. I enjoyed this amazingly delicious meal while watching a great horror movie called "Evil Dead Rise". If you haven’t seen this movie yet — you should watch it right now. It’s a must-watch, especially if it’s your first time.
I was subscribed to one American YouTube blogger, Emelia Hartford. She talks about cars, fixes them, and goes to car races. And today I watched another one of her videos where she raced and talked about a race car. Now I recall the movie Gran Turismo, and I understood that she was filmed in that movie. However, she is also an actress.
In this post, I talk about my YouTube channel, where you can explore cities and countries through street videos with no interaction with the camera. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the streets, enjoy the sound of footsteps and the noises around. I have already visited many places: from cities in Russia, Georgia, and Turkey to Europe — Barcelona, Paris, and Rome — and I’ve also traveled to Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. If you enjoy this format, support the channel with a like and subscribe, so I can keep sharing new places and experiences with you.
