My thoughts on the movies I watched during the holidays
I finished watching the Harry Potter movies and then started watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The Harry Potter movies were very enjoyable. I started watching them on January 1st and watched one movie every day. Even though I had rewatched them many times before, they were still very interesting. Watching them during the New Year holidays gives me a stronger New Year feeling.
I’ve noticed that every year I have a habit of rewatching New Year movies. Home Alone, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and even the animated movie The Polar Express. I clearly remember watching them last year, and I even remember rewatching them in 2024. That time, I watched them with subtitles, probably in Russian. Overall, I realized that rewatching New Year movies during the holidays has become a tradition for me.
I watched only about fifteen minutes of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and I already have some questions about the characters. Their noses are slightly raised, which looks unusual to me and not very pleasant at first. They remind me a bit of dog noses, which feels strange. Maybe I just don’t fully understand why this design choice was made, especially since the little girl has a normal nose.
However, the Grinch himself is a very interesting green character who lives in the mountains. His raised nose suits him very well and makes him special. It helps create the image of a strange but charming monster. In my opinion, the person who created this character was completely sure that it would be a success.
I finished watching the movie Harry Potter and started watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas. But the movie Harry Potter was very nice and enjoyable. I started watching it on January first. I watched one movie every day. It was very interesting, even I rewatched it before many times. But when I watch it during the New Year holidays, it brings more New Year mood. Plus, I already noticed how each year I started rewatching these movies. Home Alone, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, even I watched cartoon The Polar Express. I clearly remember how I watched it last year and in 2024. But that time I watched it with subtitles and maybe in Russian. The movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas, I watched only fifteen minutes. And now I already have some questions about the characters. Because their noses are a bit raised up. It's a bit unusual, maybe even not pleasant enough. It's like to dogs or something. Generally it's a bit strange for me. Maybe I can't just understand something and why it was created. But that little girl has a normal nose.
However the Grinch very interesting green monster, who lives in the mountains. And a bit raised up nose very suits him. It just makes something special and gives him image of a good monster. In my opinion who created that creature was one hundred percent sure about succeeding.
- Your ideas are clear and logical.
- You repeat some words and structures (that’s normal).
- Some sentences are too long and would sound more natural if split.
- You sometimes mix movie / episode (Harry Potter has movies, not episodes).
- You often use “even” incorrectly.
- Articles (a / the) are sometimes missing or used incorrectly.
