Good morning, my dear friends! A new work week begins today, and I'm ready for it. What’s new about my day? Yesterday, I watched two movies about drug dealers: the first one was Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and the second was Pineapple Express.
I watched all of these movies in English. If I didn’t understand something, I turned on subtitles. I can’t even remember the last time I watched a movie in Russian! Watching movies in the original language is really interesting, because you can hear the real speech, not a changed translation. Translations can sometimes give you the wrong meaning or feeling. I also plan to rewatch Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. They’re my favorite shows, and I want to start today.
The first movie is about two guys — a journalist and his lawyer — who go to Las Vegas to cover a motorcycle race. But soon, pleasure takes over, and they start taking drugs, have wild hallucinations, and end up wrecking the place.
The second movie is about a drug dealer named Soul and his friend Dale, a delivery man. They witness a police officer and a drug lord murdering an Asian man. Dale starts to panic and tries to escape, crashing two cars in the process. However, the police officer sees him through the window and quickly leaves the house, but Dale manages to get away.
