Today the weather was rainy and cloudy. The temperature was even lower than usual. The forecast for the next few days also predicts rainy and cold weather. But even though the weather was bad, I decided to go to the photo office to take pictures for my visa, because I need to prepare all my documents and try to get an appointment. However, I’m not sure if I can get an appointment or not. Still, I need to try if I want to go to Europe.
Read moreYesterday I wrote about how I hoped for a sunny day, and that’s exactly what happened. The whole day was sunny and warm. During my lunch break, I went for a walk and enjoyed the sunshine. I couldn’t have imagined such an awesome day, especially after so many rainy and windy days. That’s why many people were dressed in just T-shirts, carrying a light coat in their hands. I didn’t measure the temperature outside, but it felt very warm — almost like a summer day.
Read moreI don’t really have any news after my very interesting weekend. My morning and day were as usual. Maybe I can just say a few words about the weather, because it didn’t make me happy today. It was cloudy all day, and sometimes a little rainy. However, toward the evening, the sky cleared up a bit, and even the sun peeked through the clouds. I don’t know what the weather will be like tomorrow, but right now I see stars in the sky, so I hope tomorrow will be sunny and warm.
Read moreThe day started cloudy, the whole sky was covered, and it was cold and windy. The weather app predicted colder days ahead, with temperatures dropping to 2°C at night and around 7–10°C during the daytime, mixed with rain and even snow. I think all the warm days are gone, and the coming days will just be cold and rainy. However, the weather didn’t bother me, and around 11 AM I went to the motorbike racing. But I was late and only managed to watch the last hour.
Read moreThe first part of the day I spent at home, because the morning was cloudy and even a little rainy. So, I decided to stay at home and do some routine tasks. Also, I practiced my English with the American show Good Morning America. Every day they talked about Charlie Kirk and his investigation. If anyone doesn’t know, he was a politician. If I remember correctly, he was from the Republican Party, and a week ago he was killed. Recently there have been many attempts against Republicans: first Trump, then another man (I don’t remember his name), and now Kirk.
Read moreThe day was cloudy, and I woke up only at 9 AM. It was the first time I slept a little bit longer here. Usualy I woke up 7 AM. But I can explain it — I fell asleep between 2–3 AM, so of course I woke up later. Also, if I had slept even 5 minutes more, I probably could have missed my work meeting. After I got up, I quickly brushed my teeth, washed my face, and immediately connected to our meeting. While I was preparing my desk and laptop, everyone was already connected. I was the last one who joined, and they were just waiting for me.
Read moreI wrote my first post on September 13, one year ago in 2024. At that time, I used AI to translate my text. First, I wrote posts in my native language, and then I translated them into English, because I didn’t have experience writing posts or texts in English. However, after some time, when I had more motivation to improve my English skills and gained a little bit of experience, I decided to write posts only in English. I even started to understand tenses and main grammar rules.
Read moreEvery day I have more doubts about my work, and I’m not sure this is the job I want. Today there was a very unpleasant conversation between my colleague and the company director. It all started during our meeting, when we were discussing tasks. The meeting was delayed by more than an hour, and as usual the director began talking. But after a few minutes, he became very angry, shouted, and swore. This happened because my colleague disagreed with him, and the director slightly misunderstood the situation.
Read moreYesterday I wrote about how many sunny days we have here, and today the weather was cloudy. I think I jinxed it, because my day started and ended with clouds. I remember seeing the bright sun only a few times and feeling its warmth. Because I managed to go for a walk during my lunch break. Even though I could only walk for 30–40 minutes, I think it was enough to rest and enjoy a little. I also went for a walk during work time. I had ordered some things, and my phone notified me that my orders were ready for pickup. Honestly, it was already late, and I had only 30 minutes left of my workday. So I decided to go and pick up my orders because I could collect them until 6 PM. If my team lead reads this post, I hope everything will be okay.
Read moreToday was my first work day after my vacation. I worked all day from 9 AM until 6 PM, with a break between 12 PM and 1 PM. In the first part of the day, I returned to my old tasks that I couldn’t finish before my vacation and refreshed my memory about them. In the second part of the day, I had a meeting about how we can stop using Google services. Instead, they want to switch to Russian local services from Yandex. If you don’t know, Yandex is a Russian company that is very similar to Google, but smaller. This change is happening because the Russian government is trying to push companies and citizens to use local IT services. It’s more useful for the government because they can control everything.
Read moreYesterday I arrived in Baltasi at 8 PM, and by that time it was already a little late. When I reached the border between Arsk and Baltasi, I saw police patrol cars. I thought, “That’s it, they’ll stop me too,” but fortunately they let me pass, so I was able to continue. I thought about it because I don’t have car insurance—I didn’t buy it. Why? Because I plan to stay here only 3 months, and for that time I’d have to pay $30, while a whole year costs $50. It doesn’t seem reasonable to me to pay that much if I’m not using the car long-term. Also, if the police stop me for the first time, I can just pay an $8 fine, and after that the fine is between $30–$50. So for me, it still feels unreasonable, and that’s why I decided to take my chances.
Read moreToday my morning started as usual. I woke up at 8 AM and immediately got up to do my morning routine. At that time, I still wasn’t thinking about going to Kazan. However, after a few hours I started to think about a trip to Kazan. When I looked out of my window, the weather was ridiculously awesome—there wasn’t a single cloud in the sky, it was deep blue, and the sun was shining so brightly that it warmed my windowsill. Also it was my last vacation days. All of this helped me decide to go to Kazan.
