My last vacation day. Visit to Salaus village and a bit about car insurance

Yesterday I arrived in Baltasi at 8 PM, and by that time it was already a little late. When I reached the border between Arsk and Baltasi, I saw police patrol cars. I thought, “That’s it, they’ll stop me too,” but fortunately they let me pass, so I was able to continue. I thought about it because I don’t have car insurance—I didn’t buy it. Why? Because I plan to stay here only 3 months, and for that time I’d have to pay $30, while a whole year costs $50. It doesn’t seem reasonable to me to pay that much if I’m not using the car long-term. Also, if the police stop me for the first time, I can just pay an $8 fine, and after that the fine is between $30–$50. So for me, it still feels unreasonable, and that’s why I decided to take my chances.

Now, about today. It was sunny and also my last vacation day. I decided to spend it in Salaus village. Salaus is about 10 kilometers from Baltasi, and my aunt lives there. When I arrived, they greeted me, and we spent 1–2 hours outside. The weather was very pleasant, and staying inside would have felt wrong. We talked about daily worries, cars, visas, and other things. Meanwhile, inside the house, a table was being prepared with delicious food, and soon we were invited to eat.

While eating all that delicious food, we also discussed some interesting and some bad world news. By then it was around 3 PM, so we decided to go outside again and spend time around the house. The house area was really beautiful—everything was green, even though it was autumn. There was a large garden with fresh vegetables, flowers, tall trees, and beautiful nature all around. And, of course, there was also a bathhouse. Honestly, I don’t really like taking baths, so this time I skipped it, especially since I had already gone to the bathhouse about a week ago.

While everyone was taking a bath, it was already 6 PM, which was also dinner time. However, I decided to skip dinner because I was full and didn’t want to eat anything else. Still, while everyone ate and enjoyed, I tried a light meal, and it was enough for me. Overall, this day gave me more fun moments on my last vacation day.
