The last time I visited the military office was in 2013, and since then I haven't been there. Because I didn't have any business there, and they didn't notify me about clarifying my military registration data until this time. The only exception was in November 2023, when they sent me a physical summons by mail. But I ignored that letter because it was beyond the law.
During my outdoor activities, when I rode around the meadow, I noticed about twenty horses with their babies in the green field. The babies were actively jumping around their moms. Even when I came closer to them, they didn't seem scared of me. Probably I was much more scared than they were, because horses can be unpredictable when they have babies. Fortunately, all those horses just lifted their heads to check who was coming and then calmly continued eating the grass. So I took it as a good sign to take a few pictures for my blog collection.
Last year I already shared this bear in a post, and today I noticed it again during my bike ride
Today I completed another 10K during my bike ride under the hot sun while a fresh breeze blew directly into my face. Of course, after yesterday’s rainy weather, the ground was still slippery. So I decided to ride along the highway instead, without going through the forest trail or any country roads. In my opinion, it was the safer and more comfortable choice, even though I usually enjoy riding through forest trails. Even though I only used the highway, I still managed to complete my planned distance successfully.
Yesterday, I finished my day with a bike ride around my city after a very busy day, which I mentioned here. Despite ending the previous day with dry weather and a colorful sky, this day was absolutely crazy. It started with a rainy, foggy morning, with the temperature around 10 degrees. On top of that, it rained non-stop throughout the entire day under gray clouds, which made the day feel more like an autumn day in the middle of summer.
During the day, I rebuilt the wooden floor, which had dried out over the last ten years, and cracks of about 1–2 centimeters had appeared between the boards. Also, the floor made loud creaks whenever anyone walked on it, and even worse, it had started to sag. So I disassembled all the old boards, cleaned the nails out of them, and built a new floor. Of course, I used the same boards because they were still in good condition and looked pretty good. Even the smell of the type of wood used for the boards was still strong and pierced my nose. But this time I used self-tapping screws instead of nails to fasten the boards, as they are much more practical and convenient to use. Now the floor has no cracks or creaks, and walking on it is much more comfortable than before.
Today the weather was a bit chilly. The temperature during the day was only around 18 degrees, and from time to time the rain made the ground slippery, which made my outdoor activities impossible. So instead, I spent the day at home, finished the second Harry Potter book, and rewatched the movie too. It made me realize that it took me much longer to finish the second book than the previous one, even though it was approximately the same length. The difference was only about thirty pages, but I skipped a few days without reading because I was busy with other routines. Honestly, I had planned to finish it in about eighteen days by reading at least one chapter each day.
This day was quite calm overall, with nothing extraordinary happening, and I didn't receive any news. The weather wasn't bad, though; it was a sunny and warm day. So I started my regular outdoor activities again along my usual route after taking a week off. I was glad to get back outside, because last week was very crazy, with uncomfortable weather conditions that forced me to miss my outdoor activities and broke my daily consistency. Luckily, I didn't lose my experience and still easily finished my 10K.
Last days I started to receive messages during my mornings, and today I had another message from my dentist’s office. They texted me about an appointment time for today after lunch for a consultation about a treatment plan. So after my morning routine, I immediately packed my backpack and went to Kazan. There we discussed the prices from my previous clinic, because I was really curious why there is such a big difference in prices between the clinics.
When I walked to the bathroom after waking up, I saw a message on my Mi Band's screen saying that I had received an online summons from the military office. It felt like that message had been waiting for me to wake up. It definitely didn't make my morning any better and brought a lot of doubts about my next plans, which I had already planned. Of course, it's sad and crazy when everything can change in a single morning, even to the point of leaving the country.
When I finished my previous post about my bad birthday experience, my Google Calendar suddenly notified me about my ex’s birthday. I have no idea how it’s still in my calendar, but it felt strange and happened so unexpectedly. Seeing it there reminded me of a post I started writing a year ago when I was in Bangkok, Thailand. Back then, I decided not to share it on my blog because there were a few sensitive parts, and I felt it was too private to share with everyone. Now, a year later, I’m ready to share some of those moments publicly. I think it might be an interesting story.
In yesterday's post, I already mentioned that I'd be taking another trip to the village. So after my morning routine, I immediately went there around 11 AM and arrived before the guests had arrived. Even if the guests had already arrived, it wouldn't have made much difference to me. I still didn't sit at the table with the other guests, as the seats were limited and everything was crowded. As a result, I was starving until 3:30 PM and just spent my time in a small, hot room, which didn't make my time there very comfortable.
The last time I visited the village was around May 26 to celebrate our Muslim holiday, Eid al-Adha. That trip was a bit challenging and rather short because it was a workday, and I only had limited time in the evening. However, today was different. After the first part of the day, I was already in the village, spending time with my relatives.
Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy the village scenery or take a walk through the meadows because the weather wasn't very good, and I didn't really have the opportunity. As a result, I spent the whole day indoors. Still, it wasn't a bad experience. I had a great chance to talk with my relatives, have various conversations, and finish the day with a traditional village bath house.
