In the early morning, at 2:30 AM, I went to the mosque across the quiet village streets with my relatives and neighbors. However, this visit to the mosque was quite different from my previous one from this post. Because this time, we didn’t walk randomly; instead, all the people from our street gathered at the very beginning of the village and walked together all the way to the mosque. But we didn’t just walk — from time to time, we randomly stopped for about 2–3 minutes and said “Takbir.” It continued for approximately fifteen minutes until we reached the mosque. When we arrived, other villagers from different streets were already waiting for us so everyone could say the final “Takbir” together before entering the mosque.

The village morning especially felt very fresh, and only a few morning roosters shouted loud sounds across the whole village, trying to wake everyone up for no reason. It felt unusual and interesting at the same time, which made the whole experience feel like a real village morning. Of course, it wasn’t my first morning experience in the village, but I don’t remember the last time I felt the same emotions. Maybe it was sometime between 2014 and 2016, more than ten years ago, when I actively visited the village and walked until sunrise with my friends.

In the mosque, the mullah greeted everyone and started the morning prayer; of course, he invited everyone to join. After praying, the mullah continued his speech and special sermon in honor of Eid al-Adha with the words “Bismillah Hir-rahman.” It was interesting because every year he tells a new story related to religion, so it’s comfortable to listen to and pleasant to simply enjoy. At the same time, I also noticed that this time about 20,000 rubles ($282.28) had been donated to support the mosque.
