Today is the weekend, and I have some news

I decided to spend the weekend at home and not go anywhere because on Monday I took on another freelance project. During the week, I could only complete small parts of this project because I was very busy and also working on other tasks for the same freelance client. I had already informed him about it, but now I have some doubts. But another thing is that while checking the full list of tasks, I accidentally skipped some parts of the work. Today, while working, I discovered all the tasks I had missed. On top of that, I gave my client the wrong deadline. So I think I won’t be able to finish it by the deadline. Maybe I could finish it if I worked all day, but that’s impossible because I have my main job. Also, after my workday, I don’t really feel like doing any additional work.

My second piece of news is about another freelance client. I already mentioned before that he hadn’t paid me for my work. Yesterday, after 5 PM, he sent me a message asking for my bank account details. I immediately sent him all the information. He also promised to send the money on Monday. Well, on Monday I’ll find out whether he keeps his promise or not.

Today I also started looking at apartments in Turkey. I focused on the city of Mersin because it’s very familiar and convenient for me. I already know some places, like shops, markets, malls, currency exchanges, and other useful locations. So far, I haven’t found anything interesting near the city center, but I will continue my search. I hope I can find something near the center that is worth the money.

Also a few days ago, I read on Reddit about the “shadowing” technique to improve English pronunciation. Shadowing is a language-learning technique where the main idea is to repeat and imitate the speaker. I randomly found a video and tried to imitate the speech. I got really involved and spent about an hour practicing. I think I like this technique, and I will try it again.
