I want to continue my story about my freelance client
I liked this day, even though it was Monday and the first workday of the week. Because it was my salary day! Yeah, the 5th and 20th of each month are my favorite days. And if these days happen to be on a Friday — it’s double the celebration! Friday is also one of my favorite days. So I always wait for these dates with excitement. The second thing that happened was about my freelance client. He texted me something new, and I think the ice finally moved — I might have a small chance to get my money. But I still have some doubts, because it’s already been about four months and I haven’t received anything yet. Even when we started the project, he promised to pay half of it in advance, but I declined that offer.
Closer to lunchtime, I decided to text my freelance client because I really wanted to know what he had written to me earlier. I sent him a message at 11:23 AM, and he replied just three minutes later — that’s a good sign, I think. If he didn’t want to pay or wanted to ignore me, he could have just stayed silent. But he didn’t. Honestly, I expected him to make another excuse or find a reason not to pay me. Instead, he wrote: “I have money, and I’ll send it to you this week.”
Well, I really hope he keeps his word and finally sends me that money. But I also think this might not be the end — maybe next time he’ll text me with more promises or new excuses. Why do I think so? Because last time he already told me about “problems” with his bank account. I think that story was false, because they never found any solution to it. And another thing about money — if he really wanted to pay, he could just send it directly from his wallet. Anyway, I still want to hope that everything will turn out well, and that I’ll finally receive my payment.
