Today, I visited the pool and plan to go every week, training with my personal coach. My goal is to improve my swimming skills, especially with the breaststroke and freestyle, and also practice diving and underwater swimming.
Yesterday was an interesting day! I met someone who impressed me not only with their personality but also with their language skills. This person speaks 6 languages fluently: English, Almanian, Spanish, French, Turkish, and, what is especially pleasant for me, Tatar! It was amazing because it’s rare to meet someone who knows our native language at such a level. This person lives outside of Tatarstan, and despite that, she speak Tatar remarkably well. She also interested in Tatar culture and have created a website to help people learn the Tatar language.

I have already visited many places: from cities in Russia, Georgia, and Turkey to Europe — Barcelona, Paris, and Rome — and I’ve also traveled to Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. I'm Ansar, and I'm from Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan. If you don’t know about this city, you can read my posts here. I think Kazan is incredibly awesome and feels like a European city. Therefore, you should visit it. And since I’ve told you a little about my city, now I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself as well. First of all, I want to start with my name because when I use it abroad, everyone is curious about it. So here is a short explanation. My name comes from Arabic (أنصَار, anṣār) and means “supporters” or “helpers.” This meaning connects beautifully with a well-known Tatar expression, “Iseme cısemene turı kilgän (Исеме җисеменә туры килгән)”, which means that a person’s name truly matches their character. I feel this fits me quite well, because I naturally tend to be a very supportive and kind person. Overall, I’m truly grateful that my parents and grandparents gave me such a unique name.
