Today's day has been busy, I packed my suitcase and bought the last few things I needed. Tomorrow, I’m leaving Mersin and go to Russia, to Kazan. Tonight is my last night in Turkey, so I decided to take a final walk along the embankment before leaving. It was my last chance to enjoy the sea breeze and beautiful views, and I couldn’t miss it.
A few days ago, I was to capture the sunrise over the sea, when the sun's rays broke through the clouds and lit up the surface of the water. On the horizon, there were ships waiting for their turn to enter Mersin port.
During today's walk, I noticed a pharmacy with its entrance door decorated in a New Year style. These decorations really stood out among other shops and pharmacies, attracting a lot of attention. Naturally, they caught my attention too.
In the morning, I walk 5 kilometers – this is my time to think. The city is just waking up, the air is fresh, and my steps set a calm rhythm. Sometimes I find quiet places where I want to stop and enjoy the moment. It helps me organize my thoughts and get energy for the whole day.
This morning in Turkey was windy and partly cloudy, with active waves on the sea, reminding that winter is coming soon. At 9:05, the whole country observed a minute of silence: cars and public transport stopped, people on the streets paused as the siren sounded, paying their respects. It was at this exact time in 1938 that the president and founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, passed away.
Early in the morning on September 8, I left the hotel around 5 AM, when the city was still asleep. It was dark and quiet outside, giving a special atmosphere to morning Paris. I walked through the empty and unlit streets to the nearest metro station, which took about 15 minutes. I went down, got on the train, and traveled to Orly Airport.
In this post, I talk about my YouTube channel Walker Story, where you can explore cities and countries through street videos with no interaction with the camera. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the streets, enjoy the sound of footsteps and the noises around. I have already visited many places: from cities in Russia, Georgia, and Turkey to Europe — Barcelona, Paris, and Rome — and I’ve also traveled to Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. If you enjoy this format, support the channel with a like and subscribe, so I can keep sharing new places and experiences with you.
After Barcelona, I go to Paris for two days. The main goal of my trip was to see the Eiffel Tower and other famous landmarks. The day in Paris was cloudy and rainy, but by evening, the clouds cleared, and the sun came out. Despite the weather, I managed to see all the main sights and walked around the city. I was happy with my visit to Paris and feel like I accomplished my goal.
