Today I headed to Mezitli, a district of Mersin not too far from where I'm currently staying, since I had contacted a new apartment owner on Telegram yesterday and wanted to have a look at the apartment. I also decided to take a taxi instead of the bus because I wasn't sure if I would arrive on time, and I had no idea how to pay for public transport here anyway. So taking a taxi seemed like the most convenient option, although it was a bit expensive.

The apartment wasn't particularly special. It was quite simple, but spacious enough. It had two bedrooms, one of them huge and the other smaller, as well as two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms was quite large and had a shower, while the other one just had a toilet. The kitchen was small but had pretty much everything, including a dishwasher, all the necessary equipment, a microwave, and other things. The separate living area had a big TV, although the kids had drawn something on the screen. Still, the owner said it was working. There were also two balconies, one overlooking a garden with lots of greenery and the other facing the road. The view wasn't anything special, but it was still a nice place to sit and watch everyday life outside.

The apartment was actually a bit bigger than I needed, but it was one of the few available options I could find relatively close to the city center. The rent was around $600 per month, which I thought was reasonable considering its size and location. It was also about $100 more expensive than my current apartment. However, this one already had its own gas heating system, which is something many apartments in Turkey don't have.
