The internet issues are starting to make me a bit worried
Even though the day was sunny and warm, the internet connection issues are starting to make me doubt whether it'll ever be available here. Since the building is new, it's possible that it isn't connected to the global internet yet. So the apartment owner might just be buying time and misleading me. As a result, I'm even starting to think about looking for another apartment for next month.
But I still decided to check some reviews and look for any extra information about my building, hoping to find something. However, I couldn't find anything about the internet. I only noticed one thing: someone, a Turkish citizen, had left a comment on Google Maps saying that it's a terrible place without a swimming pool, a generator, and some other things that aren't really important. So that comment didn't change my thoughts at all.
Another thing I wanted to try was meeting one of my neighbors and asking them directly about the internet. But unfortunately, I couldn't meet anyone, even though I tried walking around the floors, hoping to run into someone. But then I had another idea: checking the Wi-Fi network names on different floors.
So I opened the list of available networks on my phone and simply walked down from the 5th floor. And of course, as I was doing that, my phone started showing me new Wi-Fi names. This told me that the apartments have Wi-Fi networks, which means that the building should be connected to the global internet.
That wasn't enough for me, so I decided to go a bit further and call the two main internet providers in Turkey, Türk Telekom and Turkcell Superonline, to find out whether this building was connected to the global internet or not. But unfortunately, it wasn't successful because they asked me for a Turkish ID, which I don't have. So they couldn't provide me with any information. Still, it was a good experience and a chance to test my spoken English, and in my opinion, it went much better than I expected.
