My plans for my blog: making it available only to authorized users
First, I need to share a story from this post about my oral irrigator. I tried to fix it with glue, but it didn't help. After a few uses, the same thing happened again: the top plug fell off while I was using it. This time, the jet pressure pushed it out and broke another plastic part of the plug. Now it absolutely can't stay in place properly anymore. So I need to use glue to put it back in place anyway.
I really don't understand how that's possible. Even though the glue couldn't keep that plug in place, what can? I also noticed another strange thing around the battery area, which felt slightly warm to my hands and worried me a bit. In my opinion, my irrigator has reached its last days and is basically telling me that I need to buy a new one before it decides to explode.
Even though that was on my mind, I still managed to focus on something else during the day. I actively worked on my blog and added some features like dark mode, post view modes, and filtering, which are available only to authorized users. All of these options are available on the settings page, where each user can choose and configure them.
This is only my first step. Next, I want to fully close my blog pages to guests and bots. I share posts about my own life and don't want bots scanning and using my texts and photos. Of course, before this I had different thoughts about it, but now I've decided to change my privacy policy and confidence around it. Even if my posts won't be read and the view count stays empty, that's okay with me. But if someone is curious about me or my blog, they'll be able to read it.
