Today I explored two spots I’d been looking forward to—Myeongdong Shopping Street and Bukchon Hanok Village

It wasn’t the easiest day, though. Nothing unusual really happened, but I felt surprisingly tired almost the entire time. I started late, sometime after noon, after taking my time with sleep and my usual routine. Even so, by around 8 pm I was already heading back to my accommodation because the cold started creeping in and it just didn’t feel comfortable to stay out any longer. What’s interesting is that during the day it actually felt quite hot—I was walking around in just shorts and a t-shirt, and at one point I saw a building display showing 27°C. Still, many locals were dressed in jackets and long pants, while most tourists, like me, were clearly in summer mode. It made me wonder if I misjudged the weather a bit, especially once the temperature dropped in the evening.

I found this view of Namsan Seoul Tower near Myeongdong Shopping Street

One of the more frustrating parts of the day came from my camera. Right when I reached my last location and tried to finish recording, I got the message that my SD card was full. No extra space, no backup—just done. That was the last empty card I had with me, since I already used the first one and packed it safely after transferring everything in Japan. So I couldn’t finish filming what I had planned, which was pretty disappointing. But it’s not a big problem in the end—I’ll just move some videos to my laptop, free up space, and come back tomorrow to finish those last places. Even with the challenges, I’m still glad I went out today. It was one of those slightly off, slower days, but still meaningful in its own way.

This is probably the most famous (and most touristy) spot in Bukchon Hanok Village

Today I visited two places: Myeongdong Shopping Street and Bukchon Hanok Village

My day was a bit challenging and difficult; still, I am very tired. I didn't have anything unusual; I was just walking and visited my planned places. Even I started my day only after 12pm, before I slept and did my routine. But I finished my day and arrived at my accommodations around 8 pm because I started feeling cold, and it was not comfortable in the evening. Because during the day I wore only shorts and a t-shirt, it let me know even the weather was very hot during the day. I also noticed somewhere in the building wall that the temperature lifted until 27 degrees, but some Korean people wore jackets and pants, only tourists using summer clothes. Therefore I took available transport at 7 pm and rode to my accommodations.

During my walk, I had one unpleasant situation with my camera. I couldn't finish my video recording, and it ruined some of my plans. I already was in my last location, but the camera showed me a message that I need to replace my SD card, otherwise, I can't continue my recording because it is already full. Unfortunately, it was the last one that I replaced before I flew to South Korea. My first one I already downloaded in Japan and packed in a safe place. Now I don't have any empty SD cards to put in my camera, but I have one decision: move some videos to my laptop and finish my last planned places tomorrow.
