Today I spent around two hours in a meeting where our CEO was unhappy with the results

Today I spent around two hours in a meeting where our CEO said he’s not satisfied with our results and overall productivity. He actually mentioned this at the beginning of the year, and today he brought it up again. The first half hour of the meeting was calm, and we were just discussing our tasks, but after that he shifted the focus completely and spent the rest of the time talking about productivity.

Finally, that huge chunk of snow melted. I noticed it during my walk—I usually walk through that area near this building. Now I’m calm

During the meeting, I also learned something interesting about a conference website I had visited in Moscow. The CEO said he spent more than one million rubles on it, which is quite a lot. That website was developed by my colleagues, and I wasn’t involved in that project.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about it. I don’t think the site was bad, but I’m not a fan of heavy animations, 3D elements, and too much decoration. I prefer simple and minimalistic designs that make information easy and comfortable to read. However, the site was built in a short amount of time, and considering that only three people worked on it, I think the result was more than enough. I still remember my colleagues saying it would be really hard to finish on time, but in the end they managed to deliver a solid result.

Overall, our CEO criticized my colleagues’ work, saying that it wasn’t easy to edit the content because some parts were hard-coded. That means without developers, nobody can really update the texts or images. I also have some doubts about the site’s price—if the company earns over a billion rubles, maybe it’s not that expensive after all. Personally, I don’t fully agree with him, even though I admit it was a bit expensive.

Today I spent around two hours in our meeting, when our CEO wasn't satisfied with the work results

Our CEO is not satisfied enough with our work results and productivity. He talked about it on the first workdays of this year, and today he also notified us about it. But during the first half hour, everything was calm. We started talking about our tasks, but after thirty minutes and until the end, he talked only about the productivity. However, during our meeting, I learned one interesting thing about our conference site that I visited in Moscow. The CEO talked about how he spent more than one million rubles for that site and it was so expensive. Honestly, that site was developed with my colleagues, and I didn't participate in the development.

To be honest, I want to share my opinion about that site. In my opinion, the site wasn't bad, but I don't like sites with animation and much more decoration and 3D elements. I prefer simple and minimalistic designs without heavy animations that bring convenient and comfortable reading of the information. But this site was developed over a short period, and the result was much more than enough. I still remember how my colleagues talked. It's not impossible to finish it on time, but for a team of three people that developed it, I think it's a good result.

Overall, our CEO criticized my colleagues work, saying that it wasn't convenient to edit the content because some content was added by static. So without special people, nobody can edit that content: texts and photos. Also, about the site price, I have some doubts; maybe it's not so expensive if the company earns more than 1000 million rubles. In my opinion, I can't agree with him, even though it was a bit expensive.
