Waking up early: my morning observations and little thoughts on the day
Today I woke up earlier than usual, around 8 a.m. The sky was cloudy, but the temperature was warm enough. As always, I looked out the window and saw that huge chunk of snow still sitting under it. Honestly, it’s melting so slowly because the sun never reaches that side of the house. I’m not even sure when it will finally disappear. If it somehow lasts until the first days of summer, I wouldn’t be surprised—but I really hope all those icy hills melt soon.
This chunk of snow has been worrying me the last few days. It’s +10°C outside, and it’s still hanging on the roof!
Despite the cloudy sky and stubborn snow, my mood was completely high. I felt full of energy and excited that spring is finally here and everything is starting to melt. I had plenty of free time, too, so I could finish my morning routine without any rush or stress. I remember writing about this feeling in a previous post, promising myself to develop the habit of starting my day calmly. Somehow, I didn’t keep it for long—I lost interest, or maybe got distracted. I don’t even remember now. But this morning reminded me why it’s worth trying again.
