Today was the seventeenth day of Ramadan. I also received some new information about my upcoming trip to Moscow
Finally, the weekend has arrived, and for the next three days I can rest. In general, next week should feel like a small vacation for me — at least I hope so. There are a couple of reasons for that. First, I will travel to Moscow, and second, the week will be shorter than usual. March 9 is a public holiday in my country, and I will also have a day off on March 11, which is the day I am supposed to go to Moscow.
However, that’s not all the news. I also received some pleasant news about my hotel room. In my previous post, I mentioned that I hoped to get a single room during my trip, and it seems that this wish has come true.
I like his photos, even though he still uses an old PC with Windows XP and Photoshop 7. Despite this outdated technology, his photography techniques feel very modern, and his professional skills are clearly very strong.
Another interesting detail is his office. At first glance, it looks a bit messy. However, if you take a closer look, the place actually becomes quite fascinating. Everywhere you look, you can find interesting information, old photos, and many other small things that reflect his work and experience.
I only discovered this yesterday while checking some documents online. By chance, I noticed a file titled “List of employees who will live in the hotel.” When I opened it, I saw several names assigned to single rooms — and my name was on that list as well. I’m quite sure about it.
Most of the day I spent at home, following my usual daily routine and taking care of some tasks. Later in the afternoon, around 2 p.m., I went to a photo salon to take photos for my documents. I had actually planned to do this a few weeks ago, but I kept postponing it until today.
I chose the same photo salon that I had used before for my visa and other documents. I have never had any problems there, even though the photographer seems to use some rather old equipment. However, I really appreciate his approach to clients, his photography skills, and the attention to detail he gives during the photo session.
His camera also looks quite impressive — large, with a big zoom lens — which somehow gives me confidence in the process. Interestingly, he never holds the camera in his hands while taking photos. Instead, he always uses a tripod and professional lighting in a specially prepared studio space. Overall, it reminds me that it doesn’t really matter what tools you use. What truly matters is how you use them.
This is the seventeenth day of Ramadan. Today I visited a photo salon and got some news about my trip to Moscow
Finally I'm having a weekend, and for the next three days I can rest. In general, next week should be like a mini vacation for me, at least I hope. For it I've some reasons. First, it's my trip to Moscow, and second, it's a short week. Because March nine is a day off in my country and March eleven I also have a day off, on this day I should go to Moscow.
However, it's not all news. I also have some pleasant news about my hotel room. In my previous post I mentioned that I want a single room during my trip, and they realized it. I knew about it only yesterday, while I checked some online documents. I randomly saw a list of employees with the title "List of employees who will live in the hotel." So there I noticed some single names, and I also was there, I'm sure about it.
During the day, most of the time I spent at home and did my daily routine and some tasks. But in the second part of the day, closer to 2 pm, I visited a photo salon and made some photos for documents. I wanted to complete it a few weeks ago, but I kept it until this day.
I chose the photo salon that I used earlier for my visa and other documents. I didn't have any issues, even that man uses some old technique. But I like his approach to the client, his photographer skills, and how he provides time to detail during the photo session.
His photo technique is also not bad, the camera looks huge with big zoom and professional, which brings me some confidence. He never uses his hands to take a photo. Instead, he spends all his time using a tripod and high quality lights in a specially equipped place. Overall, it shows that it doesn't matter what tools you use, it matters how you use those tools.
