Today is the tenth day of Ramadan. I’ve been visiting Kazan, and had some issues with my domains

I didn’t manage to finish all my promises from yesterday’s post, but I did get all my main tasks done. I went to my bank, extended my debit cards, and got some certificates about my account. Then I visited my barber for a short haircut—it cost 700 rubles, about $9, and included a head wash. That was my main goal, and I got it done easily, no problems.

I didn’t have time to walk around or visit my favorite places. The weather wasn’t great—snow had melted, it was around 0 or maybe +1, and everything was full of puddles. So instead, I stayed warm and dry in my car while driving around.

This is the famous Millennium Bridge across the Kazanka River. It was built to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Kazan and opened in July 2005

I didn’t skip fasting, even during the trip. I woke up early, around 4 am, and started my fast. Honestly, fasting during trips feels easier—it makes time pass faster and keeps me busy with driving, talking to people, and just enjoying myself. Today, when I reached Arsk City, it was time to break my fast. I had a quick meal, drank some water, and kept going.

In the evening, back in my city, something frustrating happened. I wanted to extend my domain, tatarsms.ru, and the price shocked me—4000 rubles, around $51! I’ve had this domain since 2011, and over the past 15 years I’ve always paid way less. For comparison, I have atrvlr.com, and extending it last time only cost $8. Paying $51 for a .ru domain feels like a scam. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a chance to pay today, which was the last day for renewal.

Today is the tenth day of Ramadan. I've been visiting Kazan. Some issues with my domains

In Kazan I didn't finish all my promises, from yesterday's post. But I was able to finish all my main tasks. I visited my bank, extended my debit cards, and got some certificates about my account. After I visited my barber and got my short haircut, for it I paid 700 rubles, or $9. For this price included the head washing. It was my main goal, and I finished it easily and without some issues.

Unfortunately, I couldn't walk and visit my favorite places, because I didn't have enough time and the weather conditions weren't good. The snow melted; the temperature was around 0 or maybe +1. So everywhere was made of puddles, and I didn't have any desire to walk. Instead of it, I preferred driving my car and kept my warm and dry place in the car.

Anyway, I didn't skip my fasting, even though I had a trip to Kazan. As usual, I woke up early around 4 am and began my fasting. I think fasting during the trip is more convenient and comfortable for me. Because I can spend my time faster and easier during the trips. Because of that, I was busy with different things - driving a car, talking with people, and just enjoying myself. But today when I reached Arsk City, it was time to break my fast, and I finished my fast, drove a car, and just drank some water.

In the evening, after arriving in my city, one unpleasant thing happened. I wanted to extend my domain (tatarsms.ru), but the price surprised me properly. I registered it in 2011, and during the fifteen years I extended that domain, and today I saw four thousand rubles (4000) for it, it's around $51. Of course it stunned and infuriated me. I really don't understand why I need to pay so much more money for the fucking .ru zone. For example, I have atrvlr.com, and for extending it last time, I paid $8 in foreign domain registration service, but that Russian shit requires me to pay $51. It's really crazy and like a scam. Unfortunately, I didn't have any opportunities to pay, because today I had my last day to extend it.
