I finally received my order today — the travel adapter arrived safely

Yesterday, I mentioned the issues I had with the delivery. I thought I wouldn’t be able to receive it during the week. Because the delivery time was delayed twice, I completely lost hope. However, today around 3 p.m., I checked the delivery status and saw that it had changed to delivered.

Here I need to explain one important detail. When the status says delivered, it doesn’t mean that I’ve already received the package. It means that the order has been delivered to a special pickup point, and I need to go there and collect it myself. Of course, I could choose home delivery, but for that I would need to pay extra money and also stay at home. If the delivery man arrives while I’m out, the package won’t be delivered. That’s why I prefer a 10–15 minute walk and picking up my order on my own.

This is my travel adapter from Philips. Before this, I had never had any experience with products from this company. I’ve already tested it, and I hope it’s reliable and safe to use. The front part contains the sockets, and on the left side there are three slide buttons used to select the appropriate plug

I decided to order a travel adapter because during my trip to Singapore I couldn’t charge my phone. The power sockets there were different. I knew this before the trip and assumed I could get a free adapter for travelers. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. At the place where I stayed, they asked me to pay for one, and that experience became the main reason I decided to buy my own adapter.

I chose the original adapter from Philips, model SPB1005. It costs about 1126 rubles, or $14.43 in total. This adapter was not the first option I considered. At first, I found an adapter from Switzerland that was similar to this one, but unfortunately it couldn’t be delivered to my country. As a result, I had to look for something that was available locally and could actually be shipped to me. That’s when I noticed adapters from the company Philips and decided to choose one of them. Honestly, I didn’t know anything particularly special about this model at the beginning, because the decision was made somewhat spontaneously, but I still took the time to read reviews on other websites.

During the day, I’ve already tested the adapter and haven’t found any issues so far. I tried charging both my laptop and my phone, and everything works perfectly — I have no complaints. The adapter features one Type-C port (15W), two Type-A ports (15W), two fuses rated at 10A, and supports three types of sockets. I think this combination is more than enough for my trips. In addition, the design and the slide buttons are very convenient and comfortable to use. Even when I hold it in my hands, I can feel that it was developed with quality and attention to detail.

This is the back side of the adapter. It allows you to replace the fuses and read instructions related to electrical power and safety

This is the bottom side of the adapter. It has one Type-C port and two Type-A ports. I can use it to directly charge my phone, a Mi Band, or other small devices. However, the maximum power output of these ports is 15W

It’s just a box with stickers. During transportation, the box wasn’t broken; only the corners were a bit smashed

I finally received my order today - travel adapter arrived safely

Yesterday I mentioned my issues with my order. I thought I couldn't receive it during the week. Because the delivery time was delayed twice, I lost my hopes. But today around 3 PM I checked my delivery status and saw that the order status was changed to delivered. Here I need to explain one moment. If status is delivered, it's not about I already receiving it. It's about my order delivered to special place, and I need to go there and pick it up myself. Of course I can directly deliver my order to my door. But for it, I need to pay extra money, and I need to be at home. If delivery man arrives when I'm out, then he can just deliver the order. So I prefer just a walk of 10-15 minutes and pick up my order myself.

I decided to order a travel adapter, because during my travel to Singapore, I couldn't charge my phone. The sockets were not the same there. I knew about it before my trip, and I just thought I could receive free adapters for travelers. But, I couldn't receive it for free. In that place where I stayed, they asked me pay for an adapter. So this act was the main reason for the new one.

I chose the original adapter from Phillips, model SPB1005. It costs about 1126 rubles or $14.43 total. And this adapter was not the first one that I saw and bought. First I found an adapter from Switzerland, something like this. Unfortunately, I couldn't deliver it to my country. So I was forced to look for something available in my country or I could deliver. Then I saw adapters from the company Philips and decided to choose it. Honestly, I didn't know something special about this adapter. Because I chose it a bit spontaneously, but I still tried to read reviews from other sites.

During the day I already tested it, and I couldn't find some issues. I tried charging my laptop and phone. Everything is working, I don't have complaints. Also, this adapter used one type-C port (15W), two type-A ports (15W), two fuses for a 10A, and three types of sockets. I think all of these sockets should be enough for my trips. And the design and slide buttons are very convenient and comfortable. Even when I hold it in my hands, I feel how it was developed with quality.

Main issues I noticed
Verb forms & articles:
- “adapter arrived safely” → missing article: “the adapter arrived safely”
- “I lost my hopes” → should be “I lost hope” (no plural)
Prepositions & phrasing:
“It’s not about I already receiving it” → incorrect structure
- “It doesn’t mean that I’ve already received it.”
“asked me pay” → missing to
- “asked me to pay
Clarity & naturalness:
- Some sentences are long and a bit confusing.
- Repetition of “delivery” and “adapter” can be smoothed out.
- A few phrases sound translated instead of natural English.
Tense consistency:
- You sometimes mix past simple and present unnecessarily.

Overall: Your text is clear and understandable, which is your main goal — and you achieved it. Now let’s make it sound more natural, fluent, and advanced.
