My weekend and another present from work
Today is Saturday, and it was my weekend, so I decided to spend the day at home because I wanted to complete my freelance work and just relax. Also, the surgery area in my mouth is still not strong enough, so I preferred to stay at home. While I was at home, I randomly turned on a video on YouTube and started doing my routine. First, I reread the instructions and the prescription from my dentist because I wanted to check what is normal and what is not, as well as review the restrictions, since I thought I might have skipped something. After that, I started my freelance work and took tasks from a banking website. The first task was a bit challenging and had been hanging over me since November 15, if I remember correctly, but today I finally finished it, and on Monday I will transfer the task. I hope my client will be happy because she has been waiting for it for a long time. The next task was not challenging; it mainly involved replacing texts and documents and fixing some JavaScript code in a few places, and I think it will take around two or three hours, which I will complete tomorrow.
Closer to the evening, I watched some movies. The first one was called “The Good Neighbor” (2022). It is about a journalist from the USA who arrives in Riga, Latvia, and meets a psychologically unstable neighbor. I liked the ending because it was a bit unpredictable. The second movie was called “Plane”. It is about a plane crash, how the pilots save the passengers, and how they land the plane on a dangerous island with criminals. I had already watched this movie in Russian, and it is just an action movie.
I also received another gift from my work. A few days ago, the postman left a notice in my mailbox, but at first I didn’t understand what it was and had doubts about this strange notice. Later, I saw messages from my colleagues saying they had already received it. My CEO also mentioned it, but I had forgotten. So today I finally received it. In short, my company decided to make commemorative magazines about the company and the 1C Russian programming language.
As for my mouth, everything is mostly the same. There is no pain, and when I brushed my teeth, I paid maximum attention. Yesterday I touched the surgery area, and it started bleeding, but today everything was okay with no bleeding. However, I still have some swelling or edema—I’m not sure which word is better. Today my mouth feels more comfortable, and I hope the swelling will disappear soon. According to the instructions, swelling can last up to three days. For now, I haven’t contacted my dentist about it.
