Today I also received my New Year presents
During the whole week, I noticed how my coworkers were posting in the company Telegram channel about the New Year gifts. So it made me check my order too. Honestly, I didn’t even know my order number, and I had to ask the responsible person. But first, I decided to check it myself on the delivery company’s website, because I remembered how it worked last year. And yes, I was right. When I logged in, I saw my order, and it had already been delivered yesterday. The delivery man even called me, but I didn’t answer. So I missed that moment, and today, near the end of my workday, I went there and picked up my order. It felt a bit unusual, because today is only December 4, and I already received my presents. Last year I got them around December 30, and at that time it brought more New Year mood. But overall, I’m very glad about my presents, and I’m thankful for them.
My workday was also not bad. My colleague helped me figure out the issue with the task I mentioned yesterday. When my colleague sent me the file where I should check the code, I understood everything. Yesterday I had already checked the same file, but I couldn’t figure it out because I accidentally skipped an important part of the code. So I couldn’t find the right solution. Today I fixed the problem, and the team lead pushed it to the production server.
Today we also had our company meeting, where everyone participated. It was our last meeting of the year. The next one will be after the New Year holidays. Our CEO also introduced the plans for the last workday of this year. They decided to arrange an online New Year party. I think it will be similar to last year. I clearly remember how, on the last workday, we had an online meeting. Everyone had a New Year mood, some people wore Santa Claus masks or other decorations. Each department also prepared a special New Year greeting. It wasn’t just about saying “Happy New Year”—we had to do something unusual and original. Our department made a Snake game in JavaScript, decorated in a New Year theme with some interesting features. Overall, it was fun and interesting.
