I visited a village, spent the whole day there, and saw something strange or maybe dangerous
Today I woke up a bit late, around 9:35 AM, and when I came to the window I saw rainy weather outside. Honestly, it didn’t surprise me, because I had already noticed it during the night around 1 AM. At that time, I had just finished watching a video about WW2 and wanted to go to bed. Also, yesterday I bragged about the good weather and how I saw the sun every morning. And today I saw just a rainy, cold, and gray day through my window. Well, okay, it’s not a problem for me and I don’t want to whine about it.
From my previous post you already knew about my plans for the day. So today I spent the whole day in the village. I arrived there at 11:30 AM. It was already lunchtime, but I wasn’t starving and decided to skip lunch. I just ate some light things: fruits, cookies, and half of a chocolate bar. All of these were enough for me and I felt full.
At that time it was raining outside, but it wasn’t very heavy. It was something like very small droplets falling down and it didn’t make my coat or other things wet. Even though it was a light rain, I decided to stay at home and just watch YouTube or read something on Reddit. But unfortunately, I couldn’t watch YouTube comfortably because my VPN had some problems again. The whole time YouTube was either loading forever or sometimes working very well.
After a few hours of battling with my VPN and not being able to watch YouTube normally, I decided to go for a walk, even though it was still a little rainy outside. I put on my boots because it was wet outside and I put on my coat. I walked toward the river—it’s my usual place to walk. Everything there was so gray. All the trees were standing naked without leaves, and the grass was lying on the ground. It was the very last days of autumn and everything was just waiting for winter.
During my walk I noticed something very strange and maybe even dangerous. While I was walking near the river, I saw white smoke. At first I thought it was just fog, but after a few minutes I came closer and I felt a very bad smell. Then I realized it was smoke. As I left the smoky area, I saw how all the houses were disappearing inside the smoke. I started thinking about a fire. But fortunately, after a few minutes the smoke disappeared, and near one house I saw a tiny line of smoke. I understood that someone had decided to burn something, and that’s why everything was filled with smoke.
After that, I walked for another hour around the river and took some pictures. Even though everything was so gray, I tried to take some good photos. When I arrived home it was already 15:30, and it was already getting late. It was starting to get dark outside and the street lights were turning on. After that I just spent time at home until 6 PM, talking with my relatives or just listening to them.
