Today is my fifth day in Da Nang, Vietnam — a few words about my work

Hello everyone, In this post, I want to describe a little about a new main rule at my work. I think it's a very important moment. The first years when I worked here, everything was good, but a few months ago everything changed. They started checking every 10–15 minutes of work. Now you're required to reach 8 hours each day and write it down. I think it's very bad, because they want to control my time — even though it's work time.

Yesterday, a hard conversation happened with my teamlead. Everything started after I finished my task — I spent 1 hour and 10 minutes on it. Then he wrote to me: "Did you have problems with this task?" I responded: "Yeah, I had a little technical problem," and I explained it. After that, I remarked: "You don't believe me? You think I don't do my work?" Then he organized a Google Meet, and we continued there. And it’s not the first time already.

I also told my friends about this company — how I got a cool job and how everything was fine here. But now, I think I was wrong.
