Today I arrived in Da Nang, Vietnam. I don’t know what to say, but the cities I visited in Thailand felt more comfortable. Here I feel uncomfortable, and I don’t know why. When I left the airport, one taxi driver tried to trick me. The last time I saw something like this was in Jakarta. Now I’m starting to think there are many scams here. In Thailand, I never saw scams, and I lived there for two months.
I’m thinking about canceling all my plans and going to Russia, to Kazan, and trying to get a Schengen visa. If I cancel my plans, I don’t think I will lose much. My current plans are to visit South Korea and Singapore. I can still visit Singapore if I go back to Russia. As for South Korea, I think it’s too far for just 1–2 weeks, and it’s also a bit expensive. I also thought that if you go to South Korea, you can visit Japan too
Why am I thinking about this now? It’s not just because I arrived in Da Nang and saw how a taxi driver tried to trick me. I already wanted to write about this when I was in Bangkok and Phuket, but for a long time, I pushed these thoughts away and kept putting them last. I also think Asia is not for me, and honestly, I’m already tired of it. I still don’t know how I managed to live in Thailand for two months. When I arrived there, I only planned to stay 2–3 weeks and then move on.
