My unplanned visit to the village

I knew about my trip to the village only after lunch, closer to 1 PM, when I planned to finish another chapter of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. But it didn't happen, as I drove to visit my relatives. Of course, there was nothing special about it, but my parents had already planned the visit, so I also joined them. Because staying at home and spending the day at home wasn't attractive enough. So, spending the time at my relatives' place was a great choice, as I couldn't have any daily activity outside because of the bad weather conditions.

Also, after arriving at my relatives' place, we decided to have a small barbecue for no particular reason. We grilled three portions of chicken, and while we were getting everything ready, I realized that the weather wasn't exactly on our side. It was a bit rainy and windy, and I even had to use an umbrella while grilling the meat. Of course, it wasn't the most comfortable way to cook, but we still managed to do it. I just stood outside, grilled the chicken, and played with the cats that kept hanging around, probably hoping I would give them some food.

Honestly, it was a pretty simple thing, but it made the day feel different from my usual routine. I hadn't planned to spend the day there at all, so I had no idea what we would do or how the day would turn out. In the end, though, I enjoyed it. Sometimes an unexpected change of plans is actually nice, especially when the alternative is just staying at home all day. So, even though the visit wasn't planned at all, it turned out to be a pretty nice and unusual day for me.
