My oral irrigator, Soocas W3 PRO, broke after 5 years of use
Before, I shared some issues with my irrigator here, and yesterday I had some issues with it again. It happened at midnight when I started my routine before bed. My irrigator gave its last signs of life and died. As soon as I started using it, the water pressure went down, so I couldn't use irrigator for clean my teeth at all and had to stop. A few minutes later, I still couldn't turn it on because none of the buttons reacted. So, after finishing my routine closer to 1 AM, I immediately ordered a new Soocas W1 from the same brand, which I had already used for the last 5 years.
Still, today, after my morning routine, I decided to disassemble it and see what was going on inside. The reason was that I could clearly hear some water sloshing around inside the compressor mechanism whenever I shook it. So when I unscrewed all the fasteners, my doubts turned out to be right. Water started flowing out in small droplets, and all the circuits and other parts inside were completely wet.
The most interesting thing happened after I completely disassembled it: it suddenly started working normally. At first, I thought I could just assemble it again and continue using it like usual. However, during the disassembly process, I had already damaged some parts of the frame and one seal that protects it from water. Then, after some time, I noticed an even more important issue: it was working randomly, and the buttons were also reacting unpredictably. So, in the end, I decided not to spend any more time on it, as I couldn't find any reason to try to fix it.
