An unpleasant accident during my bike ride happened
Since morning, the day had been a bit rainy and uncomfortable. According to my relatives, the humidity was high, and everything outside felt wet. So I decided to spend the day at home and wait until the evening, hoping the weather would become better and more comfortable. I couldn't really predict what the weather would be like later. Luckily, closer to the evening, it started to improve, and I had a great chance to finish my day with some outdoor activities and colorful sunsets.
However, nothing went quite as planned, as I had some unexpected problems during my ride in the forest. While I was riding and trying to avoid the obstacles on the trail, some small branches that were blocking the way got stuck in my bike's gear-shifting mechanism and between the tires and the frame. The scariest moment came when I stopped to examine the bike and noticed that my brake cable had completely come out of its proper place. It had also lost some small but important parts that were supposed to keep the cable in place.
I had already lost one of these parts earlier, but I didn't notice it at the time. This time, however, I noticed what had happened, so I had to search for it around the area where the obstacles were. Fortunately, I didn't have to spend too much time looking. I found both of these small parts in the grass after about five minutes. Also, as I had already mentioned, it was around sunset, and among the tall trees, darkness was coming quickly, which could have made the search much more difficult if I had needed more time.
Luckily, none of these problems caused any serious damage, and I was able to continue my ride without noticing anything was wrong at first. Still, these accidents made me think about making a report and sending it to the responsible organization to ask for some explanation. I don't think it's a good idea to leave these obstacles there until I or someone else gets seriously hurt or something gets damaged.
