Today was quite calm — I stayed at home. So I want to share some stories from my life
Today I spent more than two hours just watching YouTube Shorts. It pulled me in so strongly that I completely lost track of time. But I found an interesting channel with English-speaking prank videos, and I especially liked one short. I watched it many times and honestly lost count. It also reminded me of something from my own life when I mispronounced an English word.
As an example, I want to share one story from Munich, Germany, when I visited a girl I knew. And during our meeting, something funny happened. Also, if you're curious who she is and how I met her, you can check this post. Well, it happened when I tried to fix her WhatsApp settings on her phone, because she asked me, “Maybe you know how to fix it?” Right now I remember that the problem was related to photos that WhatsApp automatically saves to the gallery. But she didn’t want all those photos to be saved there and asked for help.
When I started checking the settings, I noticed a menu item called “Data storage” and I read it completely wrong out loud. My pronunciation was totally off — something like “DATA” instead of “DAY-tuh.” I realized my mistake only when she smiled, but she didn’t correct me. I have no idea why — maybe she didn’t want to ruin my mood, or maybe she was just being polite.
