Today I visited the iconic Shibuya Scramble Crossing, one of the most famous and busiest squares, along with some other places
From the morning, the sun was out, warming everything in that really comfortable way—not too hot, not too cold. I felt totally fine in my jacket, but a lot of people were already walking around in t-shirts and even shorts. I mean, fair enough—it’s their call. I kicked things off with some shopping and a walk through Ginza. While wandering around, I ran into one of my favorite stores, Uniqlo, and couldn’t resist picking up a few things. I ended up buying four t-shirts in random colors, plus one special edition piece with a cool print and the words “Peace for All.”
When I paid, I got a tax refund, but I’m still not totally sure how to actually use it. The manager just handed me the receipt, smiled, and said, “When you have free time, scan your QR code.” So yeah, I’m hoping it’s a simple process and I’ll figure it out without any trouble.
Next, I headed to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden to see the cherry blossoms. Turns out it’s not free—my mistake for not checking in advance. But honestly, the moment I started walking inside, I completely forgot about that. I just wandered around at my own pace, surrounded by trees full of soft white and pink blossoms, soaking up the sunshine and the calm atmosphere.
And finally, the highlight of the day—the place you probably guessed from the start: Shibuya Scramble Crossing. I’d only ever seen it before in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, so being there in person felt kind of surreal. I crossed it over and over again—probably more than ten times—just taking it all in. It was exciting, a bit overwhelming in the best way, and honestly hard to believe I was actually there.
Today I visited the most famous and visited square, Shibuya Scramble, and other places
During the whole day, the sun was shining in the sky and warming us comfortably. Honestly, it wasn't cold and hot; I felt myself very comfortable in my jacket, but other people already wore t-shirts and shorts. Of course it's their business, but I also started my day with shopping and walking around Ginza. While I walked, I came across my favorite clothes store, Uniqlo. So I decided to update my t-shirts and bought four random colors. Also, one of my t-shirts is a special edition with an interesting print and the words peace for all.
For my purchases I got a tax refund, but I've no idea yet how I can use it. Because the manager just gave me my receipt and said with a pleasant smile, "When you have free time, scan your QR code". I hope this process will be easy, and I'll get a tax refund.
My next destination was the "Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden" where I wanted to look at cherry blossoms. But that park wasn't free; it was my bad, I didn't check it well enough. By the way, when I started my walk around the park, my doubts vanished. I comfortably walked around the trees with white-red cherry flowers and enjoyed this sunny day at my leisure.
About my last destination, you already knew from my post title, and I finally visited that most famous and visited square. Before, I saw that famous place only in the movie "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift". But today I walked around the square and went across more than ten times. It was really exciting and unbelievable.
