Drunk movers and a wrong payment for my accommodations caused some problems today

We decided to replace our furniture, so we gave away our old pieces for free through a charity organization. Since everything was still in good condition, it felt like a waste to throw it away. The organization sent two movers to pick it up. However, when they came inside, the whole room immediately filled with a strong smell of alcohol. It was really unpleasant—I can’t remember the last time I smelled something that strong. Fortunately, despite that, the movers behaved professionally and finished the job quickly without any issues.

During my evening walk, I passed by our local brand, “Uncle BO”, a small place run by my neighbors that serves shawarma, pizza, hot dogs, and burgers. I haven’t tried it yet, but maybe I’ll go there in the next few days.

Later in the day, something else happened related to my trip to Japan. I had selected a place to stay on Airbnb, but it wasn’t my final choice. I wanted to take a few days to compare different options before making a decision. However, later that day, the booking— a hostel costing 120 euros—was charged automatically. I had completely forgotten about it and didn’t expect the payment to go through so soon. Even though it wasn’t planned, I hope it turns out to be a good choice.

I had lunch at my neighbor’s cafe that I mentioned yesterday, and I finally wrapped up a long-running freelance project I’d been stuck on for days

Drunk movers and wrong payment for my accommodations

We decided to update our furniture, so we shared our old furniture for free through a special charity organization. Also, we couldn't just throw them because they were in good condition, and it was a bit of a pity to throw them away. Therefore, that organization sent two movers to move the furniture. But when they came inside, everything was filled with the smell of alcohol, and it was completely awful to stay in the room. I  didn't even remember what time I had such a strong and awful smell of alcohol. Fortunately the movers had good behavior and quickly completed their work as well without any problems.

During the day, another important thing happened that  related to my trip to Japan. Through Airbnb I chose a place to stay, but it wasn't my final decision. I wanted to, during a few days, check other places and compare them to each other. But today, after a second part of the day, my place, like a hostel for 120 euros, was paid automatically. I just forgot about it and didn't expect that it could happen today. Even though it was an unexpected decision, I hope it actually turns out to be a good choice.
