My day was much better today, and I decided to start using Discord

The day began with warm weather and a peaceful morning. When I woke up and looked out the window, everything was calm and white. The blizzard had ended, and only the wind gently moved the snow between the trees, as if it were playing with it and enjoying itself. All the roads and sidewalks were buried under snow — including the parking spot where I left my car. Some residents had already cleared their parking spaces and marked them as their own. Honestly, this situation makes me feel a bit sad. It has always bothered me. Sometimes it feels like everyone wants to claim something only for themselves.

In the morning, the temperature was around -4°C, but by evening it had dropped to -12°C. My walk wasn’t very comfortable, and the strong wind made it even more exhausting

However, I also have some good news from today. The day was much more successful than yesterday, and I felt much more satisfied with my work results. I managed to find solutions to several of my tickets. Although I didn’t finish them completely, I hope I’ll be able to close some of them tomorrow. What made a real difference today was my mindset. I didn’t waste time feeling confused or frustrated, and that helped me think more logically and calmly. Even though the tasks were the same as yesterday, I approached them in a much more structured and focused way.

Besides work, something else important happened. Last night, I decided to create an account on Discord. I started thinking that I need to speak with real people and try to make friends abroad. Honestly, I don’t know if it will work, but I often see people on Reddit recommending it. So I decided to give it a try and stop relying only on AI for practice. I don’t think AI is enough for me right now. If I want to take my speaking skills to the next level, I need real conversations — even if they feel difficult or uncomfortable at first.

So far, Discord seems to be working well. Yesterday I joined a few servers, and today I already made one friend from Algeria. He’s a real person with a strong B2 level of English. Unfortunately, my attempts to make friends on Reddit weren’t very successful. I wasn’t able to build any strong connections there. I really hope Discord will help me find people to practice English with. It feels exciting, fun, and like a completely new experience.

My day was much better and I decided to start using discord

This day started with warm weather and a calm morning. When I woke up and looked out through the window, everything was calm and white. The blizzard had ended, and only the wind calmly moved the snow between the trees. As if it played with the snow and had a good time. All the roads and sidewalks got stuck in the snow. Of course, car spot where I parked my car too. So, some residents already shoveled some car spots and marked that they're their private places. Unfortunately, this situation is really sad and has always bothered me. I can't leave it without my attention, and from time to time I start to think that each resident wants to occupy something only for themselves.

However, I have a positive news from my day. Because this day was much more successful than yesterday, I was much more satisfied about my work results. Overall, I was able to find some solutions to my tickets. But, I still didn't finish them, I hope, tomorrow I can finish some of them. Still, I want to add some feelings from my work process. I didn't waste time feeling confused, and that helped me solve the problems in my tasks. Even though the tasks were the same as yesterday, I was thinking much more logically and calmly.

Except my work issues, I want to share other important moments. Yesterday in the night I decided to make an account on Discord. Because I started thinking about how I need to start speaking with real people and try to find  friends abroad. Honestly, I don't know if it can work, but on Reddit I always see that everyone recommends it. So I need to try it and stop to talking with AI. I think AI is not  good enough for me right now, and if I want to move my speaking skills to another level, I need to talk with real people. Even if it can be difficult and tricky for me.

In my opinion, Discord is working really well. Yesterday I subscribed to a few servers, and today I already have one friend from Algery. He's a real person, and he has a very solid English level, advanced B2 level. Unfortunately, I tried to make friends on Reddit, but everything turned out. I couldn't make strong friendships with them. I hope Discord will help me find friends to practice my English skills. In fact, it's so exciting, fun, and of course, new experience.
