My day started as usual, but a few unexpected things happened during the day

During the first part of the day, I was basically free. My team lead went on vacation, and the colleague who temporarily replaced him couldn’t find any tasks for me. He only asked me to check my previous tasks that were on hold. I reviewed them, but I didn’t find anything that really needed fixing. Most of those tasks only had questions for the team lead, and some of them were no longer relevant. As a result, the first part of my day was quite relaxing.

In the evening, I also went for a walk and spent around an hour walking. However, my route was covered in snow again, because nobody had cleaned it. So I had to walk along a snowy sidewalk.

The second part of the day was also fine. Eventually, my colleague managed to find one task, and I worked on it during the day. I didn’t finish it completely, but I found the root cause of the problem and came up with the right solution. In addition, I received feedback on my old merge requests after a code review, and now I need to fix some mistakes. To be honest, those merge requests are very old — around two months or even more. I barely remember what I did at that time, so I’ll need to refresh my memory. Overall, I now have enough tasks for tomorrow and probably for the rest of the week.

During my breaks, I looked out of the window and watched a K700 truck clearing snow from our streets. It was quite interesting and even a bit fun, because I can’t remember the last time I saw such a huge and powerful machine on our streets. Now the street is clean, and two cars can easily pass each other. Before that, when the street was covered with snow, driving in both directions was quite challenging.

While I was out for a walk, I also took care of something important: I cleaned my car and noticed that my front left tire was flat. I have no idea why my tires started losing air. It’s possible that someone did it on purpose, because before that everything with my tires was fine. I also mentioned my back right tire in this post.

My day started as usual, but during the day some things happened

My day started as usual, but my day was a bit unusual. For it, I had some reasons related to my work. So during the first part of the day, I spent my day free, I want to say it was free. Because my team lead went on a vacation, a responsible colleague couldn't find tasks. He just told me you need to check your previous tasks on the pause. Of course, I checked my tasks, but I couldn't find something, what I needed to fix. Every task had questions from the team lead, and some tasks already were not relevant. Therefore, my first part of the day was relaxing.

The second part of my day also was not bad. But my colleague, who changed my team lead, finally found one task. So I did that task during the day. While I didn't finish it, but I found the reason why it happened, and I have the right decision. Plus, I received my previous merge requests after the code review, and I need to fix some mistakes. Honestly, those merge requests are already so old, around two months or even older. I still don't remember what I did in that time, and I need to recall it. Overall, I have enough tasks for tomorrow and probably until the end of the week.

During my breaks I looked through the window and watched how the truck K700 shoveled our streets. It was a bit interesting and probably fun. Because I don't remember what time I saw such a huge and powerful truck on our streets. Now my street is clean, and two cars can easily drive. Before the street was in the snow, driving two cars was a little bit challenging.

I also did another important work when I went for a walk, cleaned my car, and noticed that my front left tire was flat. I have no idea, why my car tires started flattening. Very likely someone specially tried to flatten my tires. Before, with my tires, everything was okay. In this post I also wrote about my back right tire.

What you did well:
- Good structure: morning → second part → breaks → observation.
- You explain why the day was unusual — that’s advanced thinking.
- Vocabulary is decent: responsible colleague, merge requests, code review, relaxing.
- No serious grammar errors that block understanding.

Main problems (important):
1. Too many repetitions
- You repeat “my day”, “first part of the day”, “tasks” a lot.
- Native speakers would vary this.
2. Unnatural phrases (Russian-style English)
Examples:
- “For it, I had some reasons” → sounds translated.
- “I spent my day free”
- “tasks on the pause”
- “I have the right decision”
3. Verb tense & flow
- Sometimes you use extra words that slow the sentence.
- Some sentences are too long and heavy.
4. Articles & prepositions
- Missing or wrong: a vacation, on vacation, in the snow, for tomorrow.
