My unusual morning, a car accident, and some safety habits for survival

This morning was a bit unusual. While I was sleeping, my siblings arrived from Kazan. It was around 7 AM, and I heard them loudly discussing a car accident they had seen while driving from Kazan to Baltasi. It happened early in the morning, about 6 km before my city. They saw two cars: the first one had the whole right side smashed, and about the second car they said that the driver had been pulled out of it. If I understood correctly, the accident happened around the same time they were passing that area. After I woke up, I didn’t ask anything else about the accident.

It was my night trip from my village back home. A car in front of me was driving very slowly, so I waited for the oncoming lane to clear so I could pass it. November 22, 2025

After waking up, the first thing I did was look out the window and check the weather. It was ridiculously bad: rainy, foggy, everything gray and dirty, and the temperature outside was around 3 degrees. At that moment, I was so happy because I didn’t need to go outside or go to work. Also, if I’m correct, I haven’t gone outside at all this entire week. When I walked to the bathroom, I saw my siblings and greeted them. After that, I did my usual morning routine and started my working day.

During the day, I watched and listened to many podcasts and music on YouTube. Then I noticed an old Telegram chat about Mersin. When I used to visit Mersin, I was quite active there because it had a lot of useful information and advice. The chat is still alive, and people continue sharing their experiences. Today I found some funny comments about survival.

Some people shared their safety habits: one person said that in Turkey he always sleeps wearing a T-shirt and shorts so he can quickly leave his apartment in case something happens, like an earthquake. Another person said he never takes off his shoes during a flight because if the aircraft crashes and he survives, he wants to be able to get out as fast as possible.
