Some moments from my usual day during the last days of autumn
Today is already November 27, and after a few days December will start. I don’t even remember how the time passed so fast. Well, my day started as usual: I woke up 10 minutes before 9 AM. But before that, I first woke up around 7 AM. At that time I turned off my alarm and continued my sleep. Next, I woke up around 8 AM. Then I checked my phone and decided to sleep an extra 10–15 minutes. But instead of that, I slept approximately a whole hour. Then I was forced to do my routine quickly and without much attention. Of course, I always try to keep more time for my morning routine, but my sleep always takes over.
I decided to change my lunch time as well. Now I keep about 20 minutes for eating, because it’s enough for me and I don’t need to sit at the table for such a long time. Instead of that, I decided to read my English book “Sherlock Holmes.” It’s more useful and interesting. Also, about this book: I have already read it more than 25 times, but I can’t understand everything clearly yet. But I feel how each time I start to understand more and more, because I can understand new sentences, words, or any ideas. And all of it motivates and involves me in English. Therefore, I decided I will read that book until the time when I understand it clearly without translations — even if it will take a year, two, or more.
Also, during my day YouTube recommended many different channels, where everyone shared about their life, their mistakes, English lessons, or anything else. I remembered one religious girl and her husband. She talked about her stories — how she dated boys and gave some advice about dating. And she always mentioned Jesus and said many times how Jesus loves you. Another video was about drug addiction. One guy took an interview with a girl. She talked about her childhood, how everything was bad, how her mother beat her, and other things.
I finished my day with the movie “Minecraft.” I started watching it yesterday and finished today. Yesterday I could watch only maybe 20 minutes. Today at lunch I also watched the same amount while eating. And the rest I finished this evening — it was approximately an hour. About this movie, I think it will be interesting for a young audience or maybe for Minecraft fans. Also, the movie is not so serious and has comedic elements. But I plan to rewatch it a few times for my English practice.
