My real autumn day and my routine
The rain has been falling for the second day, and the sky is covered with autumn clouds. Each drop falls at crazy speed and hits my roof or the area under the window. Because of that, I hear how every droplet makes noisy sounds and disturbs me from time to time. The days are very gray and short now. Already by 4 o’clock, it starts getting dark outside, and by 5 PM, darkness fully covers the streets. However, at that time, the street lights turn on and brighten the roads, even if it’s rainy or cold outside. I just sit by the window, holding a mug of water and some muffins. While I drink my water, I watch the slowly walking pedestrians or the cars driving faster through the wet streets.
After I finish watching the strange cars and pedestrians, and feel a bit more relaxed, I put my mug on the table and slowly move my soft, warm armchair closer to my work desk to continue working. But while I work, the rain and the noise from cars disturb me again. All those sounds make it hard to concentrate on my tasks. Instead, I close the window and try to focus on my work.
As the workday gets closer to the end, delicious smells start coming from the kitchen. The smells instantly remind me about food, and my stomach begins to make loud noises. I still have another hour of work left, but I decide to go to the kitchen and see what’s there. If I’m lucky, I can catch something really delicious — and if not, I just hear, “Go away, we’ll eat together later!”
