Another post about how I couldn’t make an appointment for my visa

Today, between 4 and 5 PM, the Telegram bot notified me about available appointments. I immediately stopped my work tasks and started trying to book one. But everything wasn’t so easy. I kept getting errors like “Request error, please try again” or “This date is already occupied, please choose another one.” Because of these errors, I couldn’t move to the next step. I was only able to select a date and time, and that’s all I managed to do in about an hour or more. However, this time I noticed one interesting thing — the website worked normally and didn’t block my IP address. I don’t know if that’s good or bad.

It’s the BLS International website. If you want to get a visa to Spain, you have to use it

I spent around an hour or maybe more trying, but still couldn’t make an appointment. I just wasted my work time, and it became another failure for me. I don’t understand what’s happening with this website. All my previous visa appointments were easy to make, without any errors or stress. But now everything has changed, and I think EU sanctions are working very well against ordinary tourists from Russia.

Why do I think it’s because of EU sanctions? I remember reading the news that the EU wanted to restrict visas for Russian tourists. At that time, some countries like Spain, Italy, France, and Greece rejected that proposal. But now I see the opposite. Today, the Spanish embassy published only a few appointment slots for Moscow, and none for other cities.

Right now, I have only one more chance — to try to make an appointment for early November. If I can’t get one then, I won’t be able to apply for a visa until the end of the year. I really wanted to get my visa and leave before the year ends, but now I’m not sure if I can succeed. I’ve already tried two or three times, and every time ended in failure.

Also, I can’t make an appointment for Italy or France now, because their latest available dates are in December. And if I applied in December, I would probably get my visa only in January next year. So it doesn’t make sense for me. My last chance is the beginning of November — if I can’t make an appointment then, all my plans will be ruined.
